The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol stretches along just over 150 kilometres of Málaga province and is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations. The area's mild climate is the root attraction that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities year round.
Road access to Marbella, Malaga, Jerez, Cadiz and Seville and all along the Costa del Sol is easy by the motorway or new Toll Road. Gibraltar is the nearest international airport at just 15 minutes away and Malaga is 45 minutes.
Sotogrande is roughly 5,000 acres in size and as well as the amazing Santa Maria Polo club, there are four golf courses to choose from; Valderrama (host to Volvo Masters and the Ryder Cup), Real Club de Golf de Sotogrande (Founded in 1964, designed by Robert Trent Jones), La Cañada and Almenara, to say nothing of the further vast choice of courses along the coast, at just 30 to 45 minutes drive away.
Casares Costa area
Duquesa Port is a beautiful marina and a variety of international restaurants. There are also many shops and bars in the vicinity. The 6 Star Hyatt Hotel is currently under construction which further enhances the growing reputation that Casares Del Sol is gaining on a daily basis. Estepona is slightly bigger than Duquesa and offers even more restaurants and has nearby safari and water parks. There are weekly street markets at Estepona and Duquesa with a variety of goods on offer.
Local activities include cycling, diving, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, swimming, tennis, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing and polo.
