About this location
The Tuscany region
On the hill of Poggio al Bruno, south of the Cecina course, looking onto the coastal plains, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and cereal fields can be found Casale Marittimo, a place known since the VIII for its ancient Church of St. Andrew.
Divided between Casale Vecchio and Casale Nuovo, the town is reunited under its current name; of the fortified medieval village remain traces of wall and the two gates. This ancient village is immersed in green and a short distance from the sea.
Casale Marittimo also adds numerous archaeological sites, among which the famous“tholos” tomb, with cylinder tambour and central pillar from theVI century BC (currently conserved in the Archaeological Museum of Florence).

"Beautiful relaxing vacation in the Tuscan hills!"
It was a fantastic stay… we enjoyed very much the marvelous views of the sea and Elba island from our private terrace where we had breakfast and Italian aperitivo after a fantastic day at the beach! The beach is only 10 km away from the casale and it is easily reachable by bike. The location is perfect since you can visit gorgeous little towns and enjoy some really good wine tasting in Bolgheri and Volterra.
