The National Park Cilento is located in the south of the Italian region Campania: here you will find a wild and untouched countryside, traditional mountain villages, sandy beaches with very clear water and picturesque fisher towns. Hiking in the inland, boat trips along the coast or a visit of the famous archeological side Paestum are only some of the offered activities - no mass tourism.
The small house is located on a mountain side, surrounded by two hectare hilly landscape. The plot of land is mostly overgrown with hundreds of year's old olive trees, pear trees, fig trees, pomegranate trees and grapes. The ruin of an old water mill, which was in use until 1920, is located in the “fields” of the olive groves above the house.
The small country house has one room with sofa bed, a dining table and a small kitchenette with fireplace. The bathroom is with shower and bidet.
A beautiful garden with many flowers like roses invites to spend mostly the time outside: spoil your senses with the Mediterranean smells and impressions.
The old buildings for farming are still located behind the house; the front part of the house was used for the converting of figs from the fig groves around.

The Campania region
Campania is located in the south of Italy by the Tyrrhenian Sea. Naples is the cultural centre, an attractive and lively Mediterranean seaport at the Gulf of Naples with mild climate and fantastic position at the feet of the Vesuvius. A turbulent history and many objects of interest have drawn many tourists from all over the world since the 18th century. The UNESCO has declared the old town of Naples to a world cultural heritage: the narrow alleys lead us to mysterious churches, catacombs and subterranean caves. The old Neapolitan ethnic group reveals to the tourists even today; a visit between handmade arts and crafts, fluttered washings and shouting fish dealers. Naples is surrounded by the hills of the Vomero and towered above from the amazing castle Castello S. Elmo. From this place you have a fantastic view down the city, to the Vesuvius and towards the sea. You should absolutely taste the local pizza, because pizza is invented here in this region! The genuine Neapolitan cooking presents delicious pasta dishes, fish and seafood in a great variety.
The Amalfi Coast is situated at the south of Naples, an amazing picturesque landscape with small roads, typical fishing villages, beautiful churches (the architecture has an Arabic character) and steep coast - the air is filled with lovely fragrance of lemon. Very aromatic and delicious is the liqueur Limoncello, made of lemons from lemon trees around.
The culturally heydays are the world-famous cities Pompeii and Herculaneum, the temple of Paestum and the royal palace of Caserta.
The way up to the even today active volcano Vesuvius is an absolutely must for people loving nature. The national park Cilento presents a virgin countryside, traditional villages in the mountains, fine sandy beaches with clear water and picturesque fishing villages. This place is very beautiful, fantastic and really worth a visit.
Another specialty besides the world-famous pizza and the Limoncello is the buffalo mozzarella, produced in the north of Campania.
The old town of Castelvelino is located in the hills above the sea. It is a typical medieval town with little steps and alleys, which you can find often in the south of Italy. The new town Casalvelino Marina is directly located at the sea. Beautiful sandy beaches, crystal clear water (European blue flag) and a mild and Mediterranean climate are waiting for you.
The famous Natural Park Cilento invites for walks and excursions.
The Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park is in the South of Italy, in the province of Salerno. It is 1810 sqm and is the second Italian park for extension.
The Park is extraordinary rich in nature and landscape but in heritage of art and history too.
Thanks to the quality of agricultural and food products, international scientists found out here and promoted the Park as the “homeland of the Mediterranean Diet” for the beneficial effects of the Cilento lifestyle and diet.
Today, the Cilento and Vallo di Diano national Park is recognized as a biosphere reserve (MAB) and a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
