Recommended day trips in the Algarve include Silves, whose Moorish castle contrasts interestingly with the Christian Gothic Cathedral, and Tavira which is still less touched by tourism and offers wide & less crowded sandy beaches. At Loulé you can see craftsmen at work, and buy locally made goods from the Saturday market. Porches near Lagoa is known for its Ceramics.

Carvoeiro area
Originally a small fishing village, Carvoeiro has quickly become one of the most popular family holiday destinations in the region. With its sandy bay, range of shops, lively bars and variety of cuisine, not to mention three golf courses, everyone is catered for.
Nearby Ferragudo remains a modest and characterful fishing village, with good seafood restaurants and market stalls.
And slightly inland, Porches is worth a visit to browse its crafts shops, particularly famed for hand-painted pottery - leave space in your suitcase!

Strictly no smoking inside the villa. £150 refundable breakage deposit paid with balance. Refunded when you return from your holiday. 25% deposit to secure booking, unless holiday is less than 10 weeks away then the full balance will be due.
