Home description
Descoberta is ideal for any holiday albeit quite & relaxing or action packed. The villa is in residential area within easy walking distance to a mini supermarket, bars and restaurants within the village of Sesmarias. It is a very comfortable spacious property with everything you would need for your holiday with bright and spacious function rooms over looking the swimming pool and BBQ area. The kitchen terrace is ideal for dining and enjoying a cool drink watching the sun go down over the sea. The roof terrace, which is shaded with coloured sails in the summer months gives plently of shade and beautiful sea views.
There is a Tennis Club within 10 mins. walk and some beautil beaches within 5 mins. drive away - Caneiros, Pintadinho and Praia Grande all towards Ferragudo. The villa is approx. 3kms from Pinta & Gramacho Golf Courses and Slide & Splash Water Park which is great fun for all the family.
Carvoeiro has a bustling, friendly atmosphere by day and night with plenty of cafes, good restaurants and choice of shops. From the sea there are fantastic views of the rocks and cliffs.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve has something to offer everyone from crowded beaches or deserted ones. From quiet sleepy villages to busling towns having busy fresh fish and vegtable markets. Scenic drives up to Monchique or abundant water sports at all levels along the coast line.
The sunshine in the Algarve is all year round; making it the ideal location for a winter break.
Carvoeiro, a former fishing village is very near to Sesmarias. The town centre and bay consists of narrow streets and lanes. It is tucked away between high cliffs, which rise steeply from the small Town Square and lovely sandy beach.
Carvoeiro has a bustling, friendly atmosphere by day and nights with plenty of cafes, good restaurants and choice of shops. From the sea there are fantastic views of the rocks and cliffs.
At both sides of the resort are several small sandy bays surrounding the small town and there are also three golf courses, tennis courts and riding centre within easy reach.
Just outside Carvoeiro on the Estombar Road is Slide & Splash, a popular Aqua Park, offering water slides, a whirlpool, waterfall and river ride amoung it attractions.
Carvoeiro / Sesmarias area
Being so central you have a wide choice of activities to make your holiday as busy as you wish or a quiet relaxing holiday; which ever you prefer.
There are three golf courses, a riding centre within easy reach by car, tennis courts within walking distance.
You can arrange a Jeep Safari which will take you off road, crossing small rivers, old tracks and up to Monchique which is a beaufiful place to visit.
Ferragudo is like an oasis of the past - little narrow cobbled streets with fishermen's house, tiny shops and a few simple restaurants.
Praia Grande beach is located between Sesmarias and Ferragudo. The beach is very big and therefore never very busy ideal for walking and safe for children.
How to get there
Faro is the nearest Airport which is approx. 45 mins. by car even in the high season.
I would suggest trying Monarch Airlines, Easy Jet, BMI and even British Airways or the Portuguese airline TAP.
You could either hire a car from Faro Airport; or we could arrange our local taxi driver (who usually looks after all our clients during their stay) to pick you up from Faro and take you to the house.
As another alternative we could arrange a hire car to be delivered to the house and also for the hire car to be collected from the house. This of course saves you having to drive to and from the airport.

Further details indoors: Descoberta is a spacious property; starting with a large entrance lobby leading to 2 twin bedded rooms, one of which has a new en-suite and 2 further double bedrooms. One of which, the Master Bedroom has a queen sized bed and recently refurbished en-suite with views over looking the swimming pool. The lounge is very comfortable, bright and airy again over looking the pool. Leading off the lounge there is a Sun Room which is ideal for relaxing. There are patio doors lead down to the pool area or up to the roof terrace where there are coloured sails erected during the summer months which give ample shade from the sun. The sea views from the roof terrace make it a very tranquil place to unwind during a busy day. The large well equipped kitchen and dining area have patio doors leading onto another terrace which makes the ideal place to watch the sun go down. The pool area has sun lounges and plently of umbrellas as well as a permanent sun shade with tables and chairs for outside use. The BBQ area is separate with dining table and built in BBQ and bar.

Conditions
Booking depost of 25%, final balance payment due 8 weeks before departure. We require a £250.00 Breakage Deposit Cheque but this will be returned once the house has been checked.
