About the home
Our Lodge is just a good walk or few minutes drive to fabulous Restaurants, Golf Courses and Beaches - nearest is Praia Marinha Beach (5 mins by car) just voted one of the most beautiful in the World, Albandeira Beach with Spa, and Benagil, plus lots of secret coves and miles of amazing cliff top walks overlooking the Sea.
The entrance to the Lodge is through Electric Gates and is set in 3600sq m of secure landscaped gardens with 10 x 5 Swimming Pool, heated April to October (shared only with Owners - who do not swim in the Pool at all when the guests are using it) No extra costs for a heated pool. The Lodge has lovely shaded terraces and a magnificent sun bathing terrace with loungers and winer/diner for al fresco dining, Outback BBQ.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
Landscape and climate combine in the Algarve to create a region of year-round appeal. Breathtaking views, sheer cliffs, sheltered valleys with their patchwork orange and lemon groves, vine yards and olive trees or castle topped peaks. The Algarvians are most helpful and friendly, making you feel totally relaxed and welcome, the one down side of the Algarve is having to fly home!!!
The Carvoeiro / Caramujeira area
Situated approx 4km from the Fishing Village of Carvoeiro with huge selection of fabulous Restaurants, Shops, Bars and Supermarkets. Facilities such as Zoomarine (entertainments for whole family including the chance to swim with Dolphins), Waterparks, Golf Courses and Golf Ranges for all standards, Horse Riding, Sailing and Scuba Diving, are all within easy reach.
The Moorish Town of SIlves with its dominating castle, market and acres of Orange groves is a short drive away. Algarve Shopping Centre with nine Screen Cinema and Bowling Alley not to mention fantastic range of shops (133!) is within a 15 minute drive.

We have just returned from 10 wonderful days at The Lodge having stayed there last year. If anyone is looking for complete relaxation yet a home from home, then the Lodge is for you. Attention to detail is second to none from the soft robes in the wardrobes, safe for your valuable and Gill's offer to get provisions in for your arrival. It is extremely well equipped both in the kitchen and all the incidentals you would need for your relaxation and comfort such as parasols for your trip to the wonderful beaches all close by. You can eat at a different restaurant every night or enjoy a home cooked meal/BBQ and watch the sun set from the patio. I used to wonder why people would go to the same resort/accommodation every year; well the Lodge is your answer, why work so hard for a holiday only to find appalling accommodation, when you can have sheer luxury (hoping to return next year). We had a fabulous 10 days at the MM Lodge. The Lodge was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipt. The pool was occupied by our two children, (13 and 10) for most of the time and was extremely clean. The gardens were beautifully maintain and a joy to explore. Thank you to the owners for there knowledge of the area, the great restaurants, and the amazing beaches. This Lodge was a peaceful get away from it all, which is what we needed. This is a real hidden gem, we have had a most wonderful holiday on the ALgarve, everything just fabulous !!! The Lodge is beautiful and very well equiped, and the gardens are really stunning, The pool is great and a steady 29 to 30 dgrs!! Kids just loved Flute and Truffles. I am sure we will be back. We have really enjoyed our holiday at Lodge MM, very peaceful location, but close (very) to fantastic Beaches and Restaurants. Our second time on the Algrve but definitely the best. Have enjoyed the amazing local coastal walks. Lodge has everything we needed. Would and will highly recommend the Lodge, location and hospitality to all our friends and family. We all had a wonderful holiday, great pool 30 dgrs and lovely garden which the children loved - so much so that we didn't make it out to the beautiful local beaches very often! They just wanted to stay at the Lodge, which was absolutely fine by Mum and Dad, who got the peace and rest that we really wanted. We have had the most fantastic time here. Our two girls Iona (11) and Ailsa (5) have made the most of the fantastic pool and garden as well as the many beautiful beaches close by. Really glad we chose The Lodge MM for our holiday in an area of the Algarve we have not explored before. Everything has been so enjoyable and relaxing. MM Lodge gets a huge five stars from us - it's a home from home and has everything and more!!! The are quite a few differences from home though - the Sun, lots of gorgeous beaches and lush restaurants. The location of the Lodge is perfect, the beautiful views combined with the peace and quiet makes it so relaxing, and yet so easy to drive and explore other towns and villages - Gill and Bruce thank you for your help and advice - we had a great holiday and will definitely be back.
