Home description

An extremely comfortable and well furnished 1st floor apartment (top floor) with 2 bedrooms (and plenty of cupboards), 2 bathrooms (one en-suite), living area and dining area with TV, sky satellite (freeview channels), DVD and CD player, fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There is also has a nice sized south facing balcony with seating area and sea views. The apartment is at the top of a hill, only a 5 minute walk (down) to the varied bars and restaurants of Carvoeiro. Private access to very secluded pools and tennis courts. Mini-market less than 5 minutes walk. Maid service 5 days a week. Linen and bath towels provided (bring your own beach towels).

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

While famous for its golfing holidays, there is so much more to the Algarve than spectacular fairways.

The many and well hidden small beaches make for exciting new discoveries every day. For the kids, there are the water parks, Zoomarine where one can see and swim with the Dolphins or you can head inland for a natural zoo and the beautiful Monchique mountains.

And lets not forget the friendly reception at the various Portuguese restaurants where children are always welcome. The fish is fresh, sardines are huge, and carnivores will love the steaks, lamb chops and the local specialities of chicken piri-piri Cataplana or suckling pig.

For the more energetic, there is horse riding, tennis, beautiful cliff top walks, and, of course golf !

Carvoeiro area

Praia do Carvoeiro to give it its full and formal name is a pretty town with a small beach, many varied bars, restaurants and the usual tourist shops.

It has managed to avoid the onslaught of high rise concrete apartments and hotels. The vast majority of holiday accommodation is in private villas and low rise small apartment complexes and a few well hidden but high quality hotels.

While there are a number of bars that open late and some have live music, there are no clubs or discos - making Carvoeiro suitable for familes and more mature groups. The 18-24s are better served in Albufeira which is reachable by Taxi for the odd night out.

How to get there

Flights with a variety of airlines from most UK airports to Faro in the Algarve seven days a week.

We have had lots of experience of a variety of car rental companies, and other forms of transport, and would be very happy to assist with car hire and/or private transfers to and from the airport after discussing your specific preferences and needs.

The apartment is 45 minutes drive from Faro airport.

Winter rentals are priced without electricity to allow you to choose how much (or how little) to stay in.

Conditions

20% of the rental is payable when making a reservation, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. There is also a £150 refundable security deposit payable with the final instalment.

We have used this apartment on 2 occasions and have it booked again later this year. If you've never been to Carvoeiro then you should love it, it's a great place especially for adults or groups of friends and this apartment, although up a bit of a hill, is in a great location just 2 mins from the start of the bars and restaurants of which there are loads! The apartment is well maintained, quiet and spacious - we love it!

I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to any potential guest. Our family have stayed here quite a few times now & it is fabulous. The facilities available make it like a "home".It is well equipped,very spacious & has everything in it you could possibly want need.
