The Algarve region
Carvoeiro is a lively fishing village which has become popular for Algarve villa holidays during recent years, but still retains its local charm. The fishing boats come and go and fresh fish and locally produced fruit and vegetables can be purchased from the market. There are four lovely sandy beaches for swimming or lazing in the sun around Carvoeiro, and other beautiful unspoilt beaches such as Benagil and Marinha are also closeby. There are ample shops, a pharmacy, banks, doctors clinic, butchers, bakers and newsagent, everything you are likely to need, and good restaurants abound, for all tastes and pockets and plenty of friendly bars. Carvoeiro is just 45 minutes from Faro Airport.
Carvoeiro / Vale do Milho area
The Algarve is popular with golfers, and Carvoeiro has 3 golf courses, Quinta do Gramacho which also has a driving range, the championship course at Vale de Pinta and the pretty 9 hole course at Vale do Milho.
You may well have already seen the very pretty town beach at Carvoeiro which is often featured in holiday brochures. The Algarve is famous for its beaches and coastline and it is still possible to find a quiet stretch of beach just a short drive from your holiday villa.

Carvoeiro has come a long way since it was discovered by the first visitors in the sixties The village has moved forward with the times and taken growth in its stride without unsightly high rise developments that have spoiled so many of southern Europe’s coastal resort towns.
The water park near to Carvoeiro - Slide and Splash will be a favourite with children and adults alike. At Zoomarine there are displays by the dolphins, sea lions and seals and it is also possible to join dolphins in the water for a “dolphin experience”. For the children, Krazy World is well worth a visit! A boat trip to visit the caves and spot dolphins swimming wild can be arranged from Portimao, a short drive away, and it is possible to hire local fisherman with their boats for a trip along the coast.

Lovely unspoilt beaches such as Marinha and Benagil are within easy reach and all sporting activities including the Carvoeiro Club championship golf course, fitness centre, tennis and horse riding are nearby, and the 9 hole golf course at Vale do Milho is just a few minutes walk from the villa.
The picturesque fishing village of Carvoeiro with its many fine restaurants, bars, shops, fish and vegetable market, and lovely beaches is just a few minutes drive. The nearest beach at Centianes is just 15 minutes walk from the villa.
