Carvoeiro / Marinha area
Carvoeiro the local town, originally a fishing village is a charming town full of restaurants, local shops and a beautiful beach. Visit the market each morning for the freshest of fish and local produce to enjoy whilst dining al-fresco in the evening.
The neighbouring towns of Lagoa, Portimao, and Armacao de Pera offer charming local restaurants where a chicken piri piri dinner with a bottle of wine can be enjoyed for less than EU30 for two people. Alternatively visit some of he luxurious hotels and and restaurants where the finest of local produce is combined with imaginative preperation to deliver meals worth a michelin star or two. In August the Sardine Festival at Portimao is a must visit with holidaymakers and locals alike coming together to enjoy freshly caught sardines grilled to perfection on the BBQ. Visit the annual Portugal exhibition at Fatacil in Lagoa at the end of August and sample traditional arts and crafts, local foods from various regions of Algarve, displays of equistrian skills, farm animals, family entertainment and much more. An event not too be missed.
The local beaches are long and sandy and offer all of the facilities needed for a perfect day out. Alternatively take a trip to the spa at Monchique in the nearby hills and take the waters. Visit the Dolpins at Guia, play a round of golf or two, stroll along the clifftops at sunset or just relax beside the pool with a good book and a glass of chilled vinho verde. Further details indoors: Set against the backdrop of the Atlantic ocean the apartments have been constructed on an incline to take full advantage of the stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding countryside. They are surrounded by mature gardens which give both shade and shelter during the long summer days .
Whilst the apartments have their own terraces there is also a communal BBQ and pool area where you can sip your cocktails and watch the sun go down while your dinner cooks. The beautiful pool area offers sun loungers, tables and sunshades to allow you to while away those hot summer days in comfort. From the end of the garden the secluded Albandeira beach is just 10 minutes walk away. This is one of the most picturesque beaches surrounded as it is by magnificent cliffs. It is a natural suntrap for those of you wishing to top up that tan . We have six one bedtroom apartments in the Villa. Each apartment is unique with an open plan kitchen/living area, bedroom with extra large king, king-size or twin beds , bedside tables and reading lights, bathroom with shower, bath and bidet. The apartments are fully equipped with electric hob, microwave,fridge, iron, hairdryer, electric heater and fan. Each apartment has satellite TV (BBC and SKY) and Radio CD system and is equipped with dining room and cooking facilities. There is a washing machine available in a shared laundry room. The apartments have their own private entrances and terraces.
Further details outdoors: Within walking distance you have two beautiful beaches to explore, Marinha Beach and Albandeira Beach. Both beautiful suntraps backed by magnificent cliffs, these beaches are two of the most picturesque on the Algarve. For the Golfers we have two 18-hole courses just 10 minutes away in Lagoa. They are the Pinta and Gramacho courses, two of the many fine courses on the Algarve. For those of you just beginning the game there is a beautiful 9 hole par 3 course located just outside Carvoeira, the Val de Milho course which is perfect for beginners or the more seasoned player wanting to improve the short game.

For those of you who enjoy walking Let's Walk was started by Julie Statham in response to visitors and residents who wanted to see more of the Algarve.
The circular walks of two to two and a half hours are led by a qualified walk leader with the level of walking being easy to moderately easy. Walks are usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays and end up at a typical local restaurant where a leisurely lunch can be enjoyed after the exercise. Alternatively walks can be arranged on a private basis. If you require more information contact us for details.

Pera marshes just a short distance from the apartments offers a wide range of birds depending on the season, but including Purple Swamp Hen, Purple Heron, Little Bittern, Bee-Eater, Red-Necked Nightjar, Spoonhill, Black-Winged Silt, Black Terns and more.
