Home description

This stylish contemporary villa is built in a traditional Portuguese style. As a single storey construction it is perfect for families with elderly members or toddlers. The spacious villa sleeps twelve, in five en suite bedrooms, one double, two singles and two triples. There are beautiful gardens of around 3600 M2 surrounding the house, and a full size, all weather tennis court.

'Jardim do Campo' is situated on the edge of 'Quinta dos Salicos', an exclusive development of around 45 privately owned properties, very few of which are ever offered for holiday rental. The nearest neighbours are those opposite at about 60 metres, and on two sides, the next building is well over 100 metres away. The villa is ideally located halfway between Carvoeiro and the market town of Lagoa. Carvoeiro has grown up around a small fishing village in the centre of the Algarve, 7 kms West of Portimao. The village has its own pretty beach, where small restored fishing boats offer trips for tourists. There are many restaurants, bars and ever improving shops in town and the surrounding countryside. There are few high rise hotels or large apartment blocks in Carvoeiro. Whilst the town has its own pretty beach, there are many beautiful beaches, plus the golf courses, water parks and more, all within ten minutes drive. The airport, west coast and mountains are all between forty minutes to an hour away.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Internally the villa has been completely remodelled and newly furnished for the 2005 season. The large, 55M2, living room has three large sofas and will comfortably seat twelve guests. Sliding doors from the living room and two bedrooms open onto the pool terrace. The large kitchen/dining room has been completely refitted for 2005, has a dining table that seats twelve, and is fully equipped with quality appliances and large range style cooker. The five bath or shower rooms, and all furniture, fittings and decoration were all new for the 2005 season. For the low season there is central heating, plus the wood-burning fireplace to keep the house warm and cosy.

The grounds of 3,600 m2 include a new all-weather tennis court, a pool/snooker table and a table tennis table. Guests are expected to provide their own equipment although a limited amount of used sporting goods can be found at the house for the use of guests. The garden has a fruit tree area which is very peaceful, as well as open zones for children to play. Adjacent to the property are open areas for easy walking access. Plenty of on-site, off-street parking is available. The property is elevated and from the lounge, some rooms and terraces, there are wonderful country views.
