An air conditioned 3 bedroom 3 bathroom villa that is situated on the exclusive resort of Clube Golfemare and has fantastic panoramic views of the sea and lighthouse from the roof terrace and first floor balcony. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and there are two shower rooms with toilets that accompany the other two bedrooms. There is a fully fitted kitchen that is equiped with fridge, oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine and an open plan lounge and dining area. Al fresco eating can be enjoyed on either the first floor balcony or the roof terrace that is perfect for watching the sun go down with a glass of chilled wine while cooking your food on the BBQ. The property is provided with a log burning fire within the lounge and electric shutters to each of the windows and external doors.

Clube Golfemare has beautifully landscaped gardens and there is a large communal swimmining pool with separate children's pool. There is a poolside bar and the newly opened `Lighthouse' restaurant (2012), which is open from spring through to autumn. On the other side of the resort but within walking distance is the 9 hole par 3 `pay and play' Vale de Milho golf course and there are also tennis courts near by in Rocha Brava that are available to hire.

The resort is located within walking distance of several beaches, restaurants, bars and a mini supermarket or if you prefer something a little livelier, Carvoeiro town centre with its main beach and many restaurants with nightly entertainment you can venture to the main square is situated within a five minute taxi ride. There are two challenging 18 hole golf courses (Pinta and Gramachio), a water park (Slide and Splash) and supermarket (Intermarche) that are within a 10 to 15 minute drive.

There is a security safe in the property that is available for use and a BBQ is provided on the roof terrace.

All window and door security shutters can be operated from a main control that is located by the front door or they can also be indidivually operated by local switches.

Maid service.

All linen and towels are provided and linen is changed at the start and end of each rental period. Additional maid service can be arranged and paid for locally.

A House Manager is contactable 7 days a week and their contact details will be provided once a booking has been confimed. The House Manager is located during normal office hours, Monday to Friday, on site in a unit located directly below the restaurant.

The Algarve region

The Algarve, which is the southern most region of Portugal has fast become one of Europe's most favorite holiday destinations with its year round sunshine, wide selection of sandy beaches and restaurants and well renowned golf courses. Whilst in many ways it has managed to retain is much loved Portuguese rustic charms, it is a country that offers something for everyone to ensure you and your family will have a very enjoyable and relaxing break.


Once a small fishing village that survived on catching tuna, Carvoeiro has become a very popular holiday resort for families. Although the centre of Carvoeiro is still relatively small there are plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy with entertainment in the main square on most nights throughout the summer. A trip to Monti Carvoeiro and `Stone Steak', where you cook your own food on a heated stone is enjoyable for all the family and is located about 10 minutes walk (uphill) from the main centre.

In addition to the beach in town, Praia do Carvoeiro, there are several other beaches and scenic coves situated within a short distance of the resort including Centianes, Smugglers Cove, Marinhara and Bengil. A plate of grilled sardines sitting in the cafe that projects over the sea on Centianes beach is a must with Sunday afternoon a time when local Portuguese families get together. Watersports are available at the beach and there are a couple of diving schools based in the town.

Within walking distance of Clube Golfemar and the villa is a selection of restaurants including traditional Portuguese, pizzeria and cafe bar with its occassional karaoki nights. There is also a mini-market for some of the essentials but we would recommend you visit the Intermarche for the larger shop.

Carvoeiro is ideally situated for family fun day outs with two water parks within approximately 25 minute drive, the closest and newest being Slide and Splash in Lagoa and Aqualand slightly further away at Alcantarilha. There is also Zoomarine Sealife park in Guia, Krazy World in Algoz and Go Karting in Almancil.

For those looking for a more relaxing time, a trip to Silves is a lovely day out with its Moorish castle and riverside walks. There are also boat trips to Silves up the Arade river from Portimao.

For the shoppers amongst you then either Portimao to the west of Carvoeiro or Algarve Shopping mall at Guia (near Albufeira) to the east both about 30 minutes drive away is recommended.

For golfers there is an abundance of challenging courses through out the Algave to choose from that include Pestana with its two courses, Pinta or Gramachio, which are approximately 15 minutes drive and slightly further away the four courses including the championship course at Villamoura. To get the best rates and tee times we would recommend that you book these before you arrive through the internet and the many different sites available. Many courses also offer twilight rounds during the hotter summer months at reduced rates but if you do intend to play in the summer, we would recommend you hire a buggy as it can get particulalrly hot.

"Great place to stay - quiet but just right."

This was a great place to stay with a family as it was quiet yet the communal pool and restaurant offered the chance to mingle if one wished.
The villa itself was first class and had all that was needed.
Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough if you wanted restaurants bars and nightlife.
