About the home

The villa has been tastefully decorated by the current owners with an international style that is colourful and homely in order to give an immediate welcome to visitors and guests staying here.

We use the property regularly for family holidays ourselves and the layout is very suitable for two families with children or an extended family and friends. The master bedroom has a huge king size bed, while the other three bedrooms have twin beds offering maximum flexibility. A modern safe cot and high chair is also available (at NO extra charge) by prior arrangement.

With a private secluded pool, barbecue area and side garden (safely away from pool), this is an ideal base from which to explore the Algarve or simply to relax with all the comforts of home.

The town of Carvoeiro nestles in a valley a very short walk down a steep hill from the Villa. With its town beach, many and varied bars and a plethora of restaurants to choose from you'll hardly want to use the very well equipped kitchen and choice of dining areas.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

While famous for its golfing holidays, there is so much more to the Algarve than spectacular fairways.

The many and well hidden small beaches make for exciting new discoveries every day. For the kids, there are the water parks, Zoomarine where one can see and swim with the Dolphins or you can head inland for a natural zoo and the beautiful Monchique mountains.

And lets not forget the friendly reception at the various Portuguese restaurants where children are always welcome. The fish is fresh, sardines are huge, and carnivores will love the steaks, lamb chops and the local specialities of chicken piri-piri Cataplana or suckling pig.

For the more energetic, there is horse riding, tennis, beautiful cliff top walks, and, of course golf !

The Carvoeiro area

Praia do Carvoeiro to give it its full and formal name is a pretty town with a small beach, many varied bars, restaurants and the usual tourist shops.

It has managed to avoid the onslaught of high rise concrete apartments and hotels. The vast majority of holiday accommodation is in private villas and low rise small apartment complexes and a few well hidden but high quality hotels.

While there are a number of bars that open late and some have live music, there are no clubs or discos - making Carvoeiro suitable for familes and more mature groups. The 18-24s are better served in Albufeira which is reachable by Taxi for the odd night out.

Flights with a variety of airlines from most UK airports to Faro in the Algarve seven days a week.

We have had lots of experience of a variety of car rental companies, and other forms of transport, and would be very happy to assist with car hire and/or private transfers to and from the airport after discussing your specific preferences and needs.

The villa is 45 minutes drive from the airport.

Price shown is for the whole Villa per week (not per person) fully inclusive of all utilities, linen, bath towels, and maid service 3 times per week. There is also a supply of pool towels, but you are recommended to bring your own beach towels.

Payment terms: (non-refundable) deposit being 20% of total holiday cost payable with booking; the balance plus a ?250 refundable security deposit against serious breakages payable 8 weeks prior to holiday start .

Our normal changeover day is Thursday, but we're happy to discuss flexibility of start day and duration, outside of the peak July/August period.
