About the home

Verde Pino Villa, surrounded by pine trees, is located just 150 meters' walk from the beach, on the outskirts of Carvoeiro, a well known place in Algarve. Quiet and peaceful, yet only fifteen minutes from a larger city, Portimão, the villa has easy access to all amenities, including the local market and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

The villa benefits from its own private pool. Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning sea views, and a barbecue to enable you to dine al fresco. With one double and one twin bedroom, the villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Most people who come for an Algarve holiday will head for a destination in this area of Algarve. This is probably because this area of the Algarve is the most commercialized and geared up for the ‘tourist’. It has the largest concentration of hotels and apartments in the country and a selection of sporting and leisure activities to suit everyone.

Faro is the capital of the Algarve, but it often ignored by visitors as a holiday destination, who consider it only as the place where the airport is. This is a shame because it is a vibrant town with plenty of history and architecture to enjoy. From Faro, travelling north-west, you'll come to Almancil. This is a small town which acts as a hub for the resorts found along the coastal stretch here. These are Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and the Vila Sol Resort which are in the heart of Algarve’s 'Golden Triangle' formed by Quinta do Lago, Vilamoura and Loulé. Right next to Vilamoura is its less glamorous neighbour Quarteira. In-between Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo are he smaller luxury developments of Dunas Douradas and Vale do Garrão.

Before you arrive at the bustling and most popular resort in the Central Algarve, Albufeira, you'll find the two purpose built resorts, Pine Cliffs and Balaia Golf Village near the town of Olhos d'Agua. Travelling further west you’ll find the resorts of Armação de Pera, a small resort dominated by high-rise buildings and the quiet village of Porches, famed for it's pottery.

A little further along the coast is Carvoeiro, a pretty little resort still with the charms of the fishing village it once was. Travelling north and inland about 13km, you'll come to the historic town of Silves, once the capital of the Algarve, lying on the banks of the River Arade. Travelling down the River Arade to the sea, on the eastern side is a small but attractive fishing village, Ferragudo, yet to be ravished by high-rise hotel developments. On the other side of the Arade estuary, and now in the West Algarve is Portimão, a busy fishing port and an important commercial centre in the Algarve and its off-shoot the lively Praia da Rocha. Just down the road is the quieter fishing village of Alvor.

The Carvoeiro / Vale de Centianes area

Carvoeiro Beach is fishermen beach and nowadays a cosmopolitan tourist centre very well known in the Algarve.
The beach has a small bay of crystalline waters, being a very sheltered beach from harsh winds.
Here one might rent a boat to visit the local sea caverns and isolated beaches nearby. This is a perfect beach for families.

There are lot of restaurants, pubs, pizzerias, and handicraft shops. In Vale de Centianes, , 500 hundred meters away, supermarket, coffe shop and other amenities. Vale de centianes beach is not the unique on this area.

From Faro Airport:
On leaving Faro Airport, take the road that will join the E.N. 125 and follow signs to the highway A22 - Via do Infante - direction Portimão/Lisbon (in A22 charge toll. EN 125 is free of toll). Follow the A22, direction Portimão, until Lagoa. Then, the signs to Carvoeiro. Follow the main road for a further 5 km, leaving on your right hand side the Intermarché Supermarket and Cepsa petrol station. As soon as you arrive at the main square of CARVOEIRO, turn left and go uphill. Two Kms ahead, after Crystal Aparthotel, turn left before MonaLisa Restaurant. One hundred meters straight ahead you will find Villa Verde Pino.

“Superb Location” Excellent place to stay, Ana was very helpful and kept us informed of maid services ect. The villa itself is roomy, we had 5 staying , and we never got in each others way. Private pool was excellent , with temps around 35 on average, it was great to have the pool to yourselves.Location wise was spot on . Not more than a 15 min walk to a resturant/ town and the beach was 5mins maximum. All round perfect holiday will book again.

“lovely traditional villa, we had a super time!” Nice, private villa. Our hostess Ana Maria was lovely, she really wanted us to have a great holiday and was very friendly and helpful. The pool area is private with plenty of sunbeds and cushions. pool is for swimmers as ladder straight into 1.3mtrs depth and shelves deeply into 1.9mtrs not brilliant for non swimmers or young kids. The gardens are cool and shady and a good sized patio with BBQ( was worried about pine tree above but managed not to set it on fire!! Plenty of walks along the headland to enjoy and so very quiet, we had a perfect holiday.
