Carvoeiro was, and still is, a charming fishing village which has expanded without losing it’s charm and provides the modern amenities that today’s international visitor looks for – bars, restaurants, a beach front piazza, shops, etc.The rocky coastline has several small attractive beaches close to town and within ten minutes drive there are larger outstanding beaches, notably Marinha , which was listed in the top fifty in the world. Nearby is Monte Carvoeiro, just above the town centre and a short stroll from the resort. It has a delightful palm lined square with restaurants of various styles; bars, and the well known Jazz bar which has great live music daily.
