About the home

The apartment provides comfortable accommodation all year round with heated pool and winter heating. Ideally situated, in the centre of the Algarve, it is close to delightful beaches, and a multitude of sight-seeing and sporting activities.
Apartment Palmeira is a recently converted annex to a large luxury villa set in 9000 sqm of land, situated just 2 km from the bustling holiday village of Carvoeiro. The apartment is completely self-contained with its own gated entrance, private sun-terrace and bbq area.
There is a large and beautiful pool area with a superb 12 x 6 metre heated pool. This area is shared with the main house.
Wireless internet connection is available.
This apartment is an ideal location to unwind and recharge your batteries, due to its peaceful setting, and yet is only 5 mins by car to all the great restaurants of Carvoeiro and within minutes of many lovely beaches. Nearby golf courses include Gramacho, Vale da Pinta and the 9 hole Vale do Milho.

The apartment is managed by its resident owners, Kitty and Manuel Guerreiro, who are at your disposal to help you get the best out of your holiday by offering local information and advice if necessary.

Facilities Apartment Palmeira is a tastefully decorated and well-equipped 2 bedroom apartment. There is one double-bedded and one twin bedded bedroom. There is one full bathroom and one cloakroom with w.c. The combined kitchen/living-room is equipped with settee, table, chairs, microwave, hob, fridge, etc. Sky digi-box is installed and receives available free-to-air channels. Wireless internet connection is available. Fly-screens and shutters are fitted and fans are provided. Heating is available for the winter.

The apartment has its own private walled terrace with chairs and table and brick barbecue. The pool, which is larger than usual, 12m x 6m, is heated, which makes swimming a pleasure all year round. The pool terrace is equipped with sunbeds, mattresses, chairs and tables, all at the disposal of our guests. The gardens surrounding the pool area provide colour, and the many trees on the property give shade and quiet areas to sit out of the sun.
Parking is secure and shaded. The property is accessed by electric gates.

Conditions

Long term rentals in the winter months are welcomed.
Out of consideration for others, guests are requested to smoke on the terrace and not in the apartment.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Carvoeiro is ideally situated for exploring the Algarve and for great days out at the Water-Slide Parks, Zoo Marine (Dolphin park), Krazy World,etc. For the sports-person there are the Algarve's excellent golf courses, horse-riding, tennis and gym and exercise classes available at the nearby Carvoeiro Tennis Club and Rocha Brava.
The Algarve is a great place to visit all year round, given its mild climate, with hundreds of hours of sunshine per year.

The Carvoeiro area

Apartment Palmeira is situated between the popular fishing villages of Carvoeiro and Benagil - both 5 minutes by car. It is very close to a number of beautiful beaches, and thus enjoys the advantages of being near a busy centre yet set in the peace and tranquillity of the Algarve countryside. It's central situation makes exploring the Algarve easy, and don't forget that Lisbon and Seville are only 3 hrs. drive away, or can be reached by daily coach trips. For the sports-person there are two golf courses 5 minutes away, or the Tennis Club with coaching and exercise classes available all year round.
Apartment Palmeira is located 2km from the centre of Carvoeiro and is surrounded by countryside. Coming from Lagoa (4.5km), you turn off at the village of Poco Partido, onto the road to Benagil: a small, picturesque fishing village east of Carvoeiro. Apartment Palmeira is approx. 600m along the Benagil road in a pleasant, peaceful and secluded rural setting, of almond, carob, orange and fig trees
The apartment is approx 2km from the popular resort of Carvoeiro with its ever-popular street cafes, shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. In the evening you can try the many wonderful restaurants serving fresh fish, grilled meat and fine wines. During the peak summer season there is entertainment every night in the village square.
For shopping there is a large supermarket, Intermarche, just 5 mins by car stocking a wide range of local and International produce.

Fly to Faro - Apartment Palmeira is a 40 - 50 minute drive from the airport
Cheap flights to Faro are available from many low cost airlines including Easyjet, Monarch, Thompson Fly, Excel, BMI Baby, Ryanair, Aer Lingus, etc departing from most regional airports in the UK and Ireland.

Terms of payment: 25% as confirmation of booking. Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. Maid service and linen change is once a week. Towels are changed twice a week. Beach towels are not provided.

Any weekday is the preferred changeover day, but we are flexible. SUNDAY DEPARTURES €50 EXTRA.

From March to November pool heating is included in the weekly price.

From Dec.- Feb. pool heating is not included in the weekly price and is not available
