Terracos De Benagil No 12 is located in Benagil a small, traditional fishing village. It is a newly built townhouse in an unique and unspoilt location in the Algarve. It is located on the coast with truly amazing panoramic ocean views and is a stones throw from two golden sandy beaches. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the Quinta do Gramacho golf course designed by Nick Price and Ronald Fream. It is one of three golf courses within a ten minute drive of the property. For the adventurous both the Slide & Splash and Aqualand water parks are also within a ten minute drive. In addition to the four excellent restaurants within walking distance of the property, the town of Carvoerio is a five-minute drive with an abundance of restaurants, gift shops and bars to suit all tastes. Portimao with its bustling streets, boutiques, markets and quayside attractions is less than 20 minutes away by car. The nearby historic towns of Silves and Loule have much to offer for sight seeing and relaxing over lunch or a coffee watching the world go by in the warm Algarve sun.

The Algarve region

The Algarve, in the south of Portugal, is known region for beaches, clear seas and the perfect location for a memorable vacation for families and couples. The popularity of the Algarve is down to its consistently good beach resorts along a coast stretching from the Spanish border to Cape St Vincent and it's proximity by air to Northern Europe. In addition it's many golden sandy beaches, safe bathing, good restaurants, quality accommodation and building codes enhance the appeal.

Summer temperatures can reach 30C plus, however the Atlantic breezes make the Algarve's climate comfortable for all.

Carvoeiro / Benagil area

Golf can be arranged easily as Pinta, Gramacho, Alto and Salgados golf is only 10 minutes drive. The Algarve is one of Europe's premier golf areas. There are currently twenty-five courses in the space of 100 miles of coastline, with more under construction. All Algarve courses are within one and a half hours' drive of Faro International Airport. Over the last few years the Portuguese Open has been hosted variously at Penina, Vila Sol and São Lourenzo, all of which may be included in the list of top European championship courses. Warm playing conditions and immaculately manicured fairways and greens are the norm in the Algarve.

Walkers
The stretch of coastline between the colourful fishing village of Benagil and Senhora da Rocha is one of the most magnificent in the Algarve and is noted for its profusion of wild flowers and dramatic beaches. The rugged cliffs are layered in bands of ochre and cream sedimentary rocks with a band of hard, grey limestone forming the cliff top. There are several sea-stacks, sandy bays, rock arches and spectacular blowholes en-route. Aproximate distance is 9km/5½ miles on an undulating coastal path.

Alternatively the small resort of Carvoeiro occupies a gap in the red cliffs that dominate the Algarve coastline. Leaving the town and head west following the cliff top path. The cliffs here are particularly impressive with sea arches and sedimentary rocks with a rainbow of colours and textures. Blowholes are also a significant feature. Continue either to the beach at Caneiros or to the Arade estuary and the fishing village of Ferragudo. Aproximate distance is 6½km/4 miles on an undulating coastal path.

How to get there

- Fly to Faro - Terracos de Benagil is just 60km from the airport, or 40 minutes - Fly to Seville, and the journey time is just over two hours and fares are half the price.

Accommodation & Facilities The Terracos de Benagil development has a communal pool and is within a sort drive of a par 3, 9 hole golf course, a tennis club and gym complex, supermarket, beauty salon, several restaurants. Beautiful panoramic cliff-top walks are directly accessed from the development. A short drive away is the picturesque, bustling beach village of Carvoeiro with its beaches, shops, restaurants, bars and cafés, tourist office, health clinic and car rental offices. The Algarve offers a wide range of entertainment and activities, with something to suit everyone!

The spacious roof terrace has wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean. There is a barbecue and a sun terrace, and a lawn area of approximately 40 square meters with a sun bathing terraces to the living area. The Lawn area is enclosed and has an irrigation system for the shrubs. There is a communal pool with showers and sun bathing areas directly overlooking the Atlantic ocean. There is the four court David Lloyd tennis centre with a resident professional for coaching sessions nearby. Fishing from the rocks nearby is also a popular and rewarding pastime.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time in your villa in Benagil. The peace and quiet on the complex was perfect and we may well look to stay there again in the future. I will also be recommending it to
friends and colleagues at work etc. We enjoyed our trips into Carvoiero. We ate at all three of the restaurants going up the hill from the bay in Benagil and they were all really good.

We were considering squatting and never returning home, but the children objected, they wanted to return home to tell their friends how brilliant it was. Close to two beautiful beaches, and some restaurants that had the freshest fish in
the Algarve it was idyllic.
