About the home

Located in the centre of Carvoeiro, Apartment dos Santos is ideal for all your holiday needs. It is part of the Monte Dourado complex, opened in 1990 which has swimming pools, Reception with Internet access(payable locally) and tennis courts. This spacious first floor apartment is fully furnished and equipped to a high standard. The apartment is air-conditioned throughout (optional extra) Behind the apartments there is an extensive sun terrace with pools and the beach of Carvoeiro is approx. 250m away.
Both the bedrooms and lounge give independent access through patio doors onto the large terrace, which overlooks the bustling village streets.
With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this is a great apartment for a holiday break and ideal for 1 or 2 couples or a family with 2 children. The large, partially shaded terrace which is furnished with table and chairs and can be accessed from both bedrooms and the lounge, has proved very popular and is perfect for watching the world go by while relaxing with a cool drink
NEW NEW NEW! Both bathrooms have been completely refurbished and renewed in January 2011 and new flooring has been laid throughout the apartment. A new wood burning stove has been installed for winter heating.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with bathroom en suite and the second bedroom has twin beds with a shower room next door. Both bedrooms have reverse cycle air-conditioning units to provide summer cooling and winter heating.

The kitchen is large, bright and well-equipped including micro-wave, dish-washer and washing-machine.The lounge/dining room is fitted with reverse cycle air-conditioning and has CD player, DVD, and Sky Digi-box with a variety of English channels including BBC channels and Sky News.

The large 16 x 8m pool is for the exclusive use of the apartments and is equipped with sun-beds and mattresses. There is also a separate kiddies pool, sun-terrace and shower facilities.
There is ample parking both in front and at the back of the apartments.

Conditions

Long term rentals in the winter months are welcomed.
A cot and high chair are available by prior arrangement on booking. Linen for cot is not provided.
Out of consideration for others, guests are requested to smoke on the terrace and not in the apartment.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Carvoeiro is ideally situated for exploring the Algarve and for great days out at the Water-Slide Parks, Zoo Marine (Dolphin park), Krazy World,etc. For the sports-person there are 2 tennis courts on the complex plus the Algarve's excellent golf courses, horse-riding, and gym and exercise classes available at the nearby Carvoeiro Tennis Club and Rocha Brava.

The Carvoeiro / Central Carvoeiro area

The village of Carvoeiro is outside your door, with shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, super-markets, night-clubs and of course the lovely beach, just 250m away. Car hire is optional with this apartment, as everything is within walking distance.
There is a huge variety of restaurants offering many kinds of cuisine to suit all tastes.
In the summer there is entertainment in the Square just before the beach
Native life and southern European mentality still maintain the upper hand despite the abundance of holiday activities, and Carvoeiro retains the unique charm which has captivated so many visitors and makes it one of the most sought after destinations in the beautiful region of the Algarve.

Fly to Faro - Apartment dos Santos is a 40 - 50 minute drive from the airport
Cheap flights to Faro are available from many low cost airlines including Easyjet, Monarch, Thompson Fly, Excel, BMI Baby, Ryanair, Aer Lingus, etc departing from most regional airports in the UK and Ireland.

“An excellent appartment in the centre of town, great value for money!” This appartment has an excellent location in the centre of Carvoeiro, which has numerous good bars, restaurants, shops and a fabulous sandy beach. We enjoyed walks in and around Carvoeiro, taking in the amazing views. The appartment is clean, well equipped and has two beutifully refurbished bathrooms. The lounge is spacious and very comfortable. It has a large balcony which gets the sun during the afternoon, the perfect place for watching the world go by. Both bedrooms are a good size and are situated either side of the appartment. Both bedrooms and lounge have access to the balcony. There is a well maintained communal swimming pool.

The apartment is in the centre of Carvoeiro, Portugal and really was the most spacious and well equipped place we have stayed. Stayed in this apartment for 1 week. It was lovely, just like it was in the pictures except even nicer. Spacious, cool and large balcony. Kitchen was very well equipped. Everything you needed was there. Met Kitty on the 1st day & she told us all we needed to know. So close to the village & the beach. No need for taxis. Fantastic restaurants about. Kid friendly. No complaints what so ever. Able to get a cot & baby chair for our one year old. Would recommened no problem.

Terms of payment: 25% as confirmation of booking. Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival date. Maid service and linen change is once a week. Towels are changed twice a week. Beach towels are not provided.

Arrival day flexible, but weekdays are preferred. SUNDAY DEPARTURES €50 EXTRA.

Air conditioning is available as an optional extra. The charge is €60 (£50) per week.

Electricity is extra in the winter months and is paid for locally depending on consumption.

An extra bed or cot/highchair is available at a charge of €30 (£25) per week.

There will be a €60 (£50) surcharge for occupation of the apartment from 24th Dec to 2nd Jan.
