Home description
Built with coolness in mind, this exceptional property has a large lounge/dining area which is tastefully decorated with comfortable seating. The large kitchen is fully equipped and has a breakfast bar. There is a downstairs shower and toilet room. Upstairs the en suite bedrooms, one double bed the other twin beds, have fitted wardrobes. The patio windows are fitted with mosquito nets and electric shutters. A sun terrace with wooden furniture can be enjoyed throughout the day.
Forming part of the Quinta da Boa Nova condominium the complex also has a stunning swimming pool with a child's pool close by. There is plenty of sun bathing space with loungers and umbrellas. Food, drinks and ice creams are available in the bar which has an outside terrace overlooking the pool area. A soon to be open restaurant is also on site.
The complex is British owned and run, the owners living on site.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve climate is one of the most healthiest and pleasant in the world, the sky being blue most of the year round. Although Portugal in a forward-looking nation with tourism as its main economic activity, it still retains its old world charm and traditional values. Central Algarve is best known for its spectacular coastline but less known are the vineyards, olive,almond, carob and fig trees which abound.
There are many places of interest to visit from the Monchique mountains to the Moorish village of Silves. Archaeological sites can be found in the region around Alvor and Portimao has a great night life.
Carvoeiro / Quinta da Boa Nova area
Quinta da Boa Nova is centrally located between the villages of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo. Carvoeiro is built between two hills sheltered on either side by low cliffs. The coastline is extremely photogenic being a mix of cliffs, coves, bays and beaches. The area is well known for its wining and dining with many beaches having their own restaurants, some specialising in locally caught fish and seafood dishes.
It is only a short distance to the pretty fishing village of Ferragudo which at night is particularly atmospheric. There is a local market where fresh fish landed from small boats can be bought.
There are championship golf courses nearby which, unlike in Britain, all are open to visitors.. Most of them require a handicap certificate and insist on a dress code and course etiquette. Diving is another popular sport as the waters in the Algarve are home to spectacular flora and fauna. They in turn attract the fish so you may see many fishermen trying their luck off the rocks. In fact there are activities in the area to please most people.
How to get there
Easily accessible budget flights from most airports to Faro. Directions from Faro airport: From the airport head for the A22 motorway, following the signs for Portimão. Follow the motorway all the way to Lagoa. Leave the A22 towards ‘Lagoa’. (CEPSA petrol station is on the right just before the turn off). Follow signs for Lagoa Sul and then for Carvoeiro - this road will join the N125. Go straight on at the first roundabout. Turn right at the traffic lights (signed Carvoeiro). At the small roundabout - bear right (sign posted Sesmarias - Ferragudo). At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit (straight on) towards the water tower up the hill. Go through the village of Sesmarias you will find “Presa de Moura” on your left and at the next small roundabout take the second exit, Quinta da Boa Nova is signed. Take the first right and follow the road to the Boa Nova car park. The Reception Office is near by. The journey from Faro airport should take no more than 45 minutes.
