The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
With its laid-back "manana" attitude, Andalucia is probably the most relaxing region of all Spain. IFinca Fantastica is situated in a rural, mountainous area where the languid pace of life is gentle and the crowded coasts and droves of holiday makers all seem far, far away. The equitable climate of mild winters, warm springs and autumns and the lovely, long hot summers where your BBQ weather is guaranteed.
Gibraltar, Seville and Granada are approximately 2 hours drive away. Closer to home are the emera;d lakes of El Chorro and the sugar cube village of Frigiliana and the historical town of Antequera.
Cartama Estacion area
Finca Fantastica is situated mid-way between Alora and Estacion deCartama. The local villages, 20-30 mins away, have shops, banks, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Estacion de Cartama has a large Sunday market. which is very popular with the locals. A lively place during the long summer evenings when you can sit outside at a table and watch the world go by. Many of the restaurants have barbecued food available particularly at the weekends.
How to get there
* The closest airport is Malaga International which takes under an hour by car. * There are many budget airlines flying here, including Easy Jet, Thomsons and Flybe. If there are special offers to Granada or Seville, it may be worth the extra hour in the car: but certainly Malaga is the most convenient.

Conditions
* Changeover day: Changeover days are flexible. * Arrival and Departure Times: We request that guests depart by 10am and do not arrive before 4pm unless by prior notification. * Cleaning: If you do not wish to clean before leaving (an early flight perhaps!) a charge of 30 euros will be levied. * Refundable breakages deposit of £100 is required before arrival. This will be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

"A week of total seclusion, peace and privacy! And in a house with its own quirks and character! Marvellous!! Being “crowded” (!) by the occasional quad bikers (dots on the far side of the hills), and once by “man on a moped” putt-putting up the hill opposite the patio – we quickly got up as the sun came over one side – and went to bed when it went down on the other! We have talked, sunbathed, slept, ate, sunbathed, splashed in the pool – and then started all over again!! You ought to market this wonderful place as a retreat: from the day-to-day rushing around; from the lack of just sitting- and for relationships to have the time to appreciate why us two lovebirds have spent so long together. It has been a great week for both of us to have the time, space and freedom from routine and inhibitions and people – and to find how much we love and respect one another) with the time and absence of interruptions to learn a whole let more!!) "We loved the place. A place to escape to. More peace and tranquillity than we could imagine. Just to be back to nature. Fascinating trees, plants and wildlife. Silence broken by the wind, insects (grateful for the netting) a few planes and the odd bike. Taking 3 or 4 dips in the pool everyday, sometimes joined by House Martins! An interesting drive added to the “specialness” of the finca. Comfortable and well equipped with almost everything we needed. Plus the right amount of attention from Colleen and Alan, thank you.
