If you desire 5* luxury then Kilclare Lodge is 5* luxury in every aspect. Whether it be the large comfortable bedrooms, the open plan kitchen and living areas, the number of extras provided free of charge including Wi-Fi (Free of Charge) and Digital TV (Sky Free view Only), the play room with games console (Xbox 360 KINECT) and games and the many different board games provided for those family fun times, KIlclare Lodge ticks all the box's.
This is a large and beautiful house built with a strong New England emphasis in its design. The property is two stories and has been finished to a very high standard with comfort and relaxation at its core. The house boasts three reception rooms and a games room which is well stocked with DVD's, Console, and lots of books suitable for young and old. Kilclare Lodge is ideal for all types of holidays including activity based breaks with plenty of storage for all that gear. There is also lots of parking and a beautiful covered deck to the rear to enjoy that night time glass of wine after a long day. A barbecue is supplied for those outdoor feasts with plenty of outdoor seating also supplied. There is also substantial area of lawn for further relaxing and enjoying the wonderful peaceful views. Kilclare lodge is a non smoking property. Amenities close by include an award winning country pub and shop within walking distance. There are 3 fishing lakes within a radius of 7 Km''s. The area is a haven for walking treks. There are also a number of bicycles available for hire with the property. The well known Lough Key Forest Park is only 20 mins drive away with its expansive forest walks, playgrounds, Boda Borg and now has the highwire "Zipit" (http://www.zipit.ie/courses/lough-key-roscommon) challenge for all the family combined with the unique "Tree canopy" walk. Other attractions close by include Lough Rynn House and Gardens (http://www.loughrynn.ie), Kilronan Castle. Aura Leisure Centre with three heated indoor swimming pools (http://www.auraleisure.ie/leitrim). Carrick Cineplex (https://www.carrickcineplex.ie) is also within 10Km. This multy award winning 4 screen luxury cinema also has a coffee and wine bar. There are also two golf courses close by. Carrick-on-Shannon boasts an 18-Hole Championship course set against the backdrop of the winding river Shannon (http://www.carrickgolfclub.ie/) and Ballinamore Golf course is noted for its beautiful greens and challenging par 5's. Strandhill and Rosses Point golf courses are also within a 45 minute drive.

We would like to feel that all of our guests have a wonderful, relaxing stay at Kilclare Lodge. The rural setting with canal and surrounding farmland create a beautiful ambiance. With this in mind we would ask all of our guest to be considerate of our other guests and the enjoyment of their stay.
Arrival times and Check-out Times -
We require time for full servicing of Kilclare Lodge so that it is up to the standard that you our guest require. With this in mind, the Lodge is available from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival and check-out times are 10.00 am the day of departure. We will be more than pleased to discuss any additional arrangements of times for those with small children, however this is subject to our own schedule and availability. Please let us know your requirements prior to your stay.
It is a guests responsibility to inform us of an estimated time of arrival in advance of their visit to ensure that keys will be available. Late arrivals (after 10.00 pm) can be facilitated by prior arrangement.
Damage Deposit/Extra Cleaning Deposit:
You will receive Kilclare Lodge in a spotless and damage free condition reflective of its 5* classification. A damage/extra cleaning fee will be charged in the event of failure to leave Kilclare Lodge in an acceptable clean and tidy condition, without breakages and/or other misuse of facilities. The deposit will be returned once an inventory check has been taken and an assessment of the lodge has been made.
No Smoking -
Smoking is not permitted inside the lodge. Smoking indoors will result in the loss of your damage/extra cleaning deposit.
Electricity is charged according to consumption. The meter will be read on arrival and departure and a charge of €0.25 per unit (kWH) used will be applied.
Exceptional Additional Charges
Rental charges include preset heating. The presets allow for morning and evening heat. Additional heating can be provided if required, but at a cost to the guest. Please contact us in advance of your stay to discuss your requirements and current charges.
A cleaning charge of €35 will be applied if, at the end of your stay, the cottage is not left clean and tidy.
We accept pets by prior arrangement only (dogs)
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs, and they must remain on leads at all time because of the surrounding sheep and cattle.
Supervision of Children
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Extra care should be taken around animals and in the vicinity of the canal. Guests are advised that electric fencing is used in this and surrounding properties. There are working farms with farm machinery and it is essential that no one enters a farmyard without the prior permission of the owners. Gates on the property are to remain closed at all times.
Kilclare Lodge is not fitted with stair gates, socket covers or other child-proof devices. It remains the responsibility of parents/guardians to supervise their children during their stay.
Number of persons Kilclare Lodge
The number of persons using Kilclare Lodge is not to exceed the maximum number advised at check-in (max 8 persons) We reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this or any of the other booking conditions are not met. Your party will be asked to leave immediately, without refund and you will lose your damage deposit, if more than the maximum allowed persons stay in Kilclare Lodge during your stay. All of these would affect our insurance policy.
Care of the property
A condition of acceptance of any booking is that the guests will take good care of Kilclare Lodge and its contents, and that it is left in a truly clean and tidy state as it will have been found. The care is to include all furnishings, Oven, Fridge, utensils, crockery and linen and though you might not be charged for minor breakages, you are responsible for all damage or breakages.

The Western Ireland region
Carrick-on-Shannon is situated in south county Leitrim approx 40 mins from Sligo and 1.5 hours from Dublin. The region is famous for its river Shannon cruises, its lakes and fishing, golf courses, wonderful restaurants, and of course its traditional Irish music with music sessions to suit all the family on most nights of the week in different places around the town of Carrick-on-Shannon and neighboring Drumshanbo
Kilclaremor is approx 10 kilometers from Carrick-on-Shannon and 7 Kilometers from Drumshanbo famous for its Joe Mooney Summer School music festival each July. The property is close to the Shannon-Erne waterway - a canal used by cruisers which joins Lough Erne in Enniskillen Co Fermanagh with Carrick-on-Shannon. It lies in the shadow of Sheebeg a small and easily climbed "Cairn Tomb" with its beautiful illuminated cross at its peak. Its Sister Sheemor lies close by and is also easily climbed.
