The Aosta Valley is a region largely devoted to tourism: in winter its ski areas extend for over 1200 km of ski pistes. In summer, there are over 300 km of high mountain trails connecting picturesque alpine lakes, mountain huts, high altitude pastures, natural reserves and botanic gardens.
Val di Rhemes iso ne of the wildest and most authentic valleys of the area and is comprised in, the Gran Paradiso Park, the first Italian National Park. It is located in an unique natural environment with its Majestic mountains and valleys where animals (chamois, ibexes, Alpine marmots and eagles) still live in their natural habitat.
At the end of Val di Rhêmes, in a sunny valley surrounded by fields and woods, lies a little and enchanting alpine resort Rhêmes Notre Dame (1723 m.), that will welcome you with its rustic and cosy atmosphere and offer you a variety of sport activities. People who love the high mountain fauna will be able to see rock-goats, mountain goats,
Alpine marmot, etc. Natural attractions also include splendid mountains, glaciers, wonderful mountain lakes and spectacular waterfalls as well as typical wood and stone houses in the old part of the village
