A Ruina Vehla is a great 1 bed cotttage situated in a tiny village Vilarinha. Just restored, this property offers superb accommodation for 2 people.The bedroom can be made up into a King or into singles. Vilarinha is a tiny traditional village situated just a few minutes drive from 2 beautiful beaches, Amado famous for its surfing and Bordeira with a lagoon surounded by sand dunes. Carrapateira is 3km where you will find lovely Restaurants, Cafes. a market and a shop that sells everything. Golf , Tennis, Gym & a Health Spa is all available at Parques Floresta, 15 mins drive away. (discounts to our guests are offered but please request card at time of booking) A Ruina Vehla has its own sun terrace with superb views across the valley where you can sit & eat looking across the beautiful valley & watching the old traditional farming methods that still go on in this area or at night enjoy the most amazing stars.
Only 3 km down a leafy lane to Carrapateira where you will find lovely Restaurants, Cafes a market and a shop that sells everything. It now even has a surf shop and cash point but it is all cobbled and very quaint with a rickety postbox outside a little house that is the post ladys.
A Ruina Vehla is up some steep stone steps so is not suitable for young children or the unstable, the steps lead to the terrace with table and chairs & front door. Front door leads to the open plan sitting room with Log fire, TV with chanels in different languages, DVD, CD-Hi fi, games, books, & DVDs.
Dining table for 4 & a Kitchen with everything you could wish for Microwave, Dish washer, Juicer, Fridge,Frezzer,Oven & Hob.
Hall to Bedroom with built in cupboard, (twins or King) TV, & dvd. Bathroom with WC, Basin Bidet and Bath with shower over.
Outside steps to the Private roof terrrace with Sofa, Loungers, outside sink, barbacue and hidden in a cupboard you will find the washing machine.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
West Algarve tends to be very hot and dry during the summer month and cooler from October through to March. These are the months with higher rainfall, but allows for the beautiful region to become very lush throughout the spring months. Vilarinha is set within a Nature Reserve which is a protected conservation area prohibiting development.
Carrapateira / Vilarinha area
Carrapateira is the nearest local town being 3 km offering a wide selection of eating from casual cafes and bars to lovely traditional restaurants. A market and a shop that sells everything. It has a surf shop and cash point and is cobbled and very quaint with a rickety post box outside a little house.
Tennis and Riding 2km away. Golf, Tennis, Gym & a Health Spa is all available at Parques Floresta, 15 mins drive away. (discounts to our guests are offered but please request card at time of booking)
Vila do Bispo is 10 minutes drive with more restaurants, shops, chemist, supermarkets, banks, & markets.
Beautiful beaches the nearest being Amado 3km offering fantastic surfing and surfing schools, a couple of beach bars. Bordeira a lagoon surounded by sand dunes which is never crowded a small wooded beach bar is sometimes open but you can always walk to Sito do Rio which is a traditional restaurant just off the sand dunes or drive along the track over the cliff and half way between this beach and Amado you will find the fantastic restaurant overlooking the fishermans harbour called Sito do Forno, you can then short cut back to Vilarinha by following the track on and going past Amado beach. There are numerous other beaches close by some with local beach restaurants.
The local area is perfect for nature lovers, idea for walking, cycling and of course relaxing!

Further details indoors: A Ruina Vehla is approached from steps leading directly from the terrace into the open plan sitting/dining and lounge area. Fully equipped to the highest standard, offering accommodation for 1 couple in a king size bed or 2 twins with flat screen tv in both the bedroom and lounge.
The luxury bathroom is equipped with both bath and shower over in a newly fitted bathroom. Outside the views from the terrace are over the surrounding valley and yet upstairs to the rear of the cottage is a completely private sun terrace.
Further details outdoors: A Ruina Vehla is approached by steps which lead directly onto the outside terrace allowing plenty of room for alfresco eating and relaxing. A further private terrace is situated on the roof of the property which is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. High quality sunloungers are provided.

We have an English & German speaking representative who is on hand in the village to help with any of your holiday needs or queries. We provide a simple welcome pack and there are full details in the cottage of local amenities, activities, recommended restaurants and attractions along with emergency contact details.
Conditions
A £250.00 refundable security/damage deposit is required to secure your booking and full payment is due within 12 weeks of arrival. Please also note that a surcharge may be applied for all bookings that are less than a week.
The property is strictly no smoking and we do not allow pets. The cottage is approached by a flight of steps therefore making it unsuitable for children and wheelchairs.
