Home description
From it's large landscaped garden the 180 degree views stretch over the vineyards and woodlands of the beautiful Vaucluse Plateau with the sun rising over Mt Ventoux and setting over the Dentelles de Montmirail. A short drive away is the bustling town of Carpentras and the colourful city of Avignon.
The Mas consists of an older main house and a more recent traditional 'Provence stone' wing which has been added to form a L-shape which nestles around the large, paved 'dining' patio, upper garden and infinity swimming pool (12 x 6 metres). A spacious pool house, with dining area adjoins the newer part of the house. There is a separate solar shower near the pool.
With the exception of two bathrooms every room in the main house faces southwards towards the views and ALL ground floor rooms, including the newer wing, have direct access via French doors to the patio and pool area.
Flop House is well equipped and furnished in a contemporary, elegant style. It's a light, spacious house of character in a beautiful setting and only a few minutes drive from the lively (at least in summer!) village of Bedouin with it's cafes, market, shops, restaurants and summer concerts. One big attraction is that by walking down a quiet lane, directly from the house, it only takes 12 minutes to reach the centre of the village.
The Flop House has exceptional facilities and is an ideal venue for marquee weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats, and other small gatherings. We can arrange for all the details including catering services by one of the best restaurants in the area.
