It is said that the sun shines almost 300 days of the year in Provence, with it's fields of lavender & sunflowers. This is ideal base for discovering many places of interest, small bustling towns each with their own character & weekly markets such as the famous Friday market in Carpentras which takes over whole town or the international antiques in Isle-sur-Sorgue on Sundays.
Lovely walled city of Avignon is 20 mins drive away, the old Provencal capital of Aix with it's shady boulevards & architecture reminiscent of Paris is 40 mins away, the villages of the Luberon hills made famous by Peter Mayle's "A Year in Provence" are some of the joys of the area. You will never be short of something to do in this interesting region of France, explore & enjoy.

4 km from Carpentras with amazing Friday market; 20km from Isle sur Sorgue (famous Sunday antique market, riverside dining, fishing); 15 km Orange (famous Arc de Triomphe and Roman theatre); 20km Avignon (Pope's palace, museums, summer arts festival); close Mont du Ventoux (wonderful cycling & hiking countryside); 1 hour Aix en Provence & Marseilles/coast. The Avignon festival is in July, there is running of the bulls & bullfighting in Arles in Sept. Many other local festivals.

All bedding only two years old, some linen provided. Sofabed in living room. Hob, Fridge, Washing Machine, Iron. Newly fitted open-plan kitchen, easy to clean, tiled floor, light and bright.
White cabinets equipped with good range of cookware. I keep cooking to minimum as a huge Intermarche close by. Seating for 6. Extendable dining table & chairs, garden table, chairs & sunloungers, parasol, BBQ. Private patio. Open staircase makes this property unsuitable for toddlers.
Further details outdoors: Central Heating, Maid Service extra 40euros, Towels Provided. Nice sunny house in quiet location, ideal base for relaxing or touring places of interest in the middle of the lavender & sunflower fields. Historic Provencal villages all around.
