La Sauguié is a delightful and spacious villa set in a country aspect within walking distance of the village of Bédoin. The four bedroomed property is all on one level and designed in an interesting way so that the house curves around a raised terrace and lawn area bordered with flowers, looking out over the rest of the garden and 9m x 5m pool. Between the house and the pool area is another large terrace with a second outdoor dining area where there is also a purpose-built barbecue. The garden is bordered by cherry orchards with Mont Ventoux as a backdrop. The pool area is fenced and has a safety gate. Adjacent to the pool area is an attractive new bathroom with shower, WC and wash basin. There are sun loungers around the pool.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region
Mediterranean climate of blue skies and hot sun. The area is steeped in Roman and Medieval history, with the cities of Avignon, Aix, Nimes,Arles and Vaison la Romaine, only a short drive away. The area is famous for its wine, principally Côtes du Rhône and Côtes de Ventoux. Excellent restaurants are in abundance. Delightful markets. Beautiful countryside dominated by vineyards, cherry orchards and lavender fields and of course Mont Ventoux, the giant of Provence.
Carpentras / Bedoin area
Carpntras is the nearest town and is well known for its vast Friday market. Within a few minutes drive are numerous interesting provençal villages - Pernes les Fontaines, Isle sur Sorgue, Fontaines de Vaucluse - the list is endless. Excellent area for walking, cycling,wine tasting or just relaxing. The village of Bedoin has restaurants, cafés, shops and services and a wonderful market on Mondays. There is a lake which is safe for swimming just a short drive away,with a restaurant and an adventure trail nearby. Bikes can be hired in the village.

Fly from Luton, Liverpool,East Midlands or Stanstead to Nimes (Ryanair) From Dublin to Marseille (Air Lingus) From Gatwick to Marseille (BA or Easy Jet). Marseille and Nilmes are 1 hour and 15 minutes drive away. Train from Waterloo to Avignon (direct July and August) via Paris or Lille rest of year. Car - 30 minutes from Avignon. Bus from Avignon to Carpentras

Further details indoors: The house has four attractive bedrooms, two of which have queen-sized beds while the other two both have matching twin beds. There is a spacious bathroom with bath, shower, bidet and washbasin; the WC is separate. There is also a laundry room. The L-shaped living room, with french doors on to the terrace, is very comfortably furnished with sofa and armchairs and has a TV and DVD player. There is a dining area with seating for eight. The large kitchen, which also opens on to the terrace, is exceptionally well fitted, with full-sized cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, food processor, coffee machine etc. The house is decorated throughout with light simple colours and has been furnished with comfort in mind. A baby cot and changing table are also supplied. There is a second bathroom/WC with shower adjacent to the pool area.The property is completley enclosed and there is a large garage at the rear.
