We suggest you visit our home A Laxe P. Rustic *** in Galicia and in particular a still little-known area in which we have the pleasure of living called the Coast of Death. It is situated in the westernmost part of Galicia, on the Atlantic Ocean, in the province of A Coruña. It is not clear the name of Costa da Morte, but may be due to any of the following reasons, the first, and that seems the most real, would be named by the continuous shipwrecks that occurred in this area so mistreated by temporary and still producing the death of fishermen and sailors, the other, more poetic and with which we most identify with is the one that refers to the end of the earth, the place where the sun dies

The area is completely undiscovered by tourists even though some are lucky enough to enjoy a while. We will find beaches, mountains, trails, towns, roads ... where it is worth spending a few days and even holidays. We suggest some interesting places to visit.

The first would be the climb to Mount Pindo, a hiking trail about four hours of intermediate level that will lead to an all time high, the Moa, here you can enjoy spectacular views. It is the most legendary of the Galician mountains, with their legends, sacrifices, excommunications, petroglyphs, fertility rites, strengths, etc, ... also contemplate the strange forms of the rocks in which they will guess all kinds of monsters and animals.

Very close to this mountain have a quiet village called Ézaro, it is the mouth of the river Xallas that plunges into the sea in a waterfall of 40 meters high.

Beautiful village is a historical Corcuvion considered one of the best preserved of all the Costa da Morte. We recommend you visit it in the second half of July because it celebrates the festival of Carmen, patron of sailors and the medieval market in which fully engage its neighbors by dressing in vintage clothes.

And speaking of people with remarkable historical and artistic cite Walls, which preserves the marine air and where we can find arcades, narrow streets, traditional houses, cruises and car. Good entertainment is to read the names of its streets, namely: Hope, Patience, Loneliness, Rest, Bitterness, Retirement, Health ...

Carnota Beach with its endless miles to walk, where entrance is the granary of Carnota (Galician typical construction used to store the grain grown) and is now a national tourist landmark.

Camariñas villa with its famous lace, from the lighthouse Vilán part a route of 19 kilometers with beautiful views and runs along a dirt track well conditioned and that leads to Xaviña and arou. In it we see the English Cemetery (place where are buried the 175 deaths from the wreck of the British ship 'Serpent'), Thirteen beaches Reira and ending in the fishing village of Camelle.

El Faro Finisterre, we have reached the end of the world, here we will enjoy the sunset, place full of all kinds of beliefs and pagan rites, in which the Romans (s. II a.) Is startled to see the enormous sun disappear into the water. According to legend beyond spooky creatures inhabiting this out ... We have reached the end of our route in which the ancients believed guess the end of the known world and that is also the end of the Camino de Santiago as always many pilgrims decided to extend their trip here for several reasons, all different.

To regain strength can visit any of the restaurants in this town, we propose some clams and grilled sea bass accompanied by good Alvariño. Would you like to come?
