A lovable family lodge with exceptional lake views. Sit back and relax on the large comfy leather sofas; read your book or watch your favourite programme.

A fully fitted kitchen to satisfy the most discerning cooks self-catering needs minus a dishwasher, complete with adjoining dining area.

Three good sized bedrooms offering a fitted master bedroom with ensuite shower room, two twin fitted bedrooms all with full sized beds. The additional bathroom consists of a full size bath with shower over.

Whilst on the wrap around balcony you will be able to observe the vast array of local wildlife from the friendly ducks to the geese in flight.

The lodge benefits from gas central heating and double glazing.

Electric and gas are included in the rental fee, personal towels are provided upon your arrival.

This lodges location is able to offer you the opportunity to fish directly off the balcony in the well stocked lake.

The surrounding area encompasses picturesque AONB countryside and a stone's throw from the breath-taking cliff paths of Morecambe Bay. The lodge is situated to the north of Carnforth bordering two outstanding counties; Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria .Each border just two miles away allows easy access to places of interest such as Ingleton Falls, Inglebrough cave, Kendal, Lancaster castle and Windermere.

The lodge is a very special place for us and we do not wish to start taking damage deposits. We trust that you will treat our lodge with respect and we ask that you will leave the lodge in the condition you found it.

Although we understand that accidents can happen we request that you do everything possible to minimize any permanent damage and report the matter immediately.

Optional Extras

For a small charge guest can have full access to all the leisure facilities; 1 day family pass - £10 (2 adults & 3 children), 1 day couple pass - £8.50 (age 16+), 1 day child pass - £3.00 (age 5-15 years).

The Lake District

The Lake District National Park is famous for its unsurpassed scenery, awe-inspiring fells and dramatic mountains that plunge into beautiful lakes and valleys. A walker’s paradise that offers so much, from museums and cultural history to lake cruises, excellent shopping and an abundance of fine restaurants.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is easily accessed via the traditional market town of Kirkby Lonsdale where the River Lune offers opportunities to walk or picnic on its banks. Scenic drives will bring you to historic castles, ruined abbeys or stately homes and gardens. Easy riverside strolls or full day treks along the Pennine Way are available to suit any age and all abilities

The spectacular Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty opens up rural Lancashire with its many small towns and villages and includes the famous Pendle Hill.

Right on the doorstep Arnside and Silverdale, also designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is perhaps less well known yet those who explore the area will be well rewarded.

Leighton Moss RSPB nature reserve has activities throughout the year and is a tourist attraction not to be missed, while Leighton Hall stately home has a good collection of antique Gillow furniture and some panoramic views over to the Lake District. Birds of prey are flown regularly.

Carnforth

Kendal is the local market town.

Carnforth and the Station famous for the film Brief Encounter. The recent revamp of the station includes the famous clock and tea room which is open to the public whether using the train or not.

Lancaster Canal & Tewitfield locks are within walking distance of the lodge.

"great relaxing weekend"

We stayed here for the weekend and had a very nice quiet relaxed weekend,The lodge had everything we needed and felt homely with lovely views over the lake from the dining table.Overall there was no negative points to the lodge nor the place.We will return in the summer and a big thank you to Maureen for making it all easy and effortless.
