This property, finished to the highest standard with antiques, solid wood and marble throughout, is situated in the beautiful Sligo countryside nestled under the famous Benbulben mountain with spectacular views of the sea and Knocknarea mountain where Queen Maeve is said to be buried.
This area of Co. Sligo is known as Yeats country and the famous poet’s grave, in the grounds of Drumcliff Church, is only a few miles away, en route to Sligo town (7 Miles). It is also the home of Lissadell house, made famous by Countess Markevicks.

Well, the last 3 weeks have been fantastic !! Bluebell House is an excellent base to explore Western Ireland from. It's home from home. We've entertained family from Kerry, bumped into old friends in Strandhill, had mad energetic days with the kids. Always returning to the comfort of Bluebell House - FAB!
We loved - Surfing strandhill, horse riding with Island View Stables, Tumbling down Strandhill sand dunes, Mackrel fishing at Mullaghmore-kids caught loads. Rosses point, great safe beach for little ones. Lissadell House - wonderful walk around gardens. Bundoran is a fun day out for children and for Mummy - dining out at Yeates Restaurant 10/10. Visiting Glencar waterfall - amazing, beautiful! So, our holiday is over. Goodbye Benbulben. We'll miss watching the sunsets over the ocean. Oxford UK - Aug 08
