The Tuscany region

Organizing a journey in Tuscany can be exiting because the region has to offer many things no matter in which part of the year you wish to come and visit. There is not only one Tuscany. Whatever you wish to experience in your vacation whether is fine art, breathtaking landscape, relax or food, wine or shopping, Tuscany can offer it all for 365 days.

Whether is your first visit of the region or not you will soon realize that you could spend a month in a small area and see only a tiny fraction of all the things there are to see. Let's admit it, sometime spending hours reading tons of guidebooks and travellers reviews, comparing tours, restaurants or top ten of places to visit can defeat the actual purpose of a vacation.

As Tuscan born and experienced travellers we can suggest tours for most popular destinations, as well as mass tourism off location, food and wine tours, local events, wellness and spa tour.

If you want to experience Tuscany art and culture 360° we can also suggest art and craft workshops and cooking classes.

Just contact us and we will be happy to help you experience the Tuscany that you wish to discover!

Carmignano

Our family-managed bed and breakfast is located in Carmignano, a little hill town that overviews all the surrounding valleys, towns and cities like Florence, Prato and Pistoia. The B&B is along the “Strada Medicea dei vini di Carmignano” (Medicean way of wines of Carmignano”). Our B&B is the perfect place for the weekend break or a leisurely week holiday just less than one hour drive from Pisa, Lucca, Siena and just about 30 minutes drive from Florence, Pistoia and Prato.

The small village is the centre of the wine region of the same name and it also happens to be a strikingly beautiful hilltop town of Etruscan origin, with ancient tombs just few steps away from the B&B and a gorgeous museum.

Carmignano is also well-known for the “picce” dried figs Carmarthen a niche product, listed among the 455 local products protected by the Tuscany Region, the “Amaretti” (cookies) whose recipe goes back to the eighteen hundreds. The original taste is due to the talent of Giovanni Bellini and continue to distinguish this cookie from “Amaretti” produced elsewhere.

If you want to forget the frantic pace of the modern life you can relax and connect to the main attractions of the area using public means of transportation (for example Florence is 40 minutes bus or 15 minutes by train, Prato and Pistoia are 20 and 40 minutes bus ride, respectively).
