The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region
Carmarthenshire is known as the "Garden of Wales" and its easy to see why. Rolling countryside and picturesque views await in this idylic Welsh county.
Llansteffan has been described as Wales’ best kept secret - a sort of Never Never land known only to locals, and the lucky descendants of those generations of Rhondda miners who trekked annually down west, on the train to catch the ferry from Ferryside to Llansteffan, for Miners Fortnight during the 19th and early 20th Century.
Attractions within easy reach are the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, The Chocolate Farm, Pendine Sands and Pembrey County Park. If sport is of interest - Ffos Las Racecourse, Llanelli Scarlets and Carmarthen Town FC. The village of Laughaurne is approximately 20mins away by car, where you can visit Laughaurne Castle and Dylan Thomas’ Boathouse.
Llansteffan - There are two beaches and a castle to explore, and whether you are into walking, fishing, sailing or just relaxing, there is something for everyone.
