Lower Ground floor: The master bedroom boasts a king-size double bed with ensuite shower room, and patio doors which open on to a large decking area overlooking Carlingford Lough, and The Mourne Mountains beyond.

The other bedroom has a large oak king-size bed and a generous single bed again with patio doors opening onto the deck area. There is also a large bathroom with bath and separate shower.

In the expansive hall area there is a sofa bed with easy access to the main bathroom, and a sliding patio door onto the decking area.

First Floor: The living quarters are actually upstairs to make the most of the commanding views. With open Plan lounge/kitchen/diner and balcony accessed through sliding patio doors and Utility room

The property offers stunning views over Carlingford Lough and the Mourne Mountains, and The Cooley Mountains.

You can take a leisurely stroll to the village of Omeath for essential supplies or a refreshing drink in the local pubs. "Stunning Sanctuary"

Myself, my husband, 8 yr. old daughter, my sister, and 9 yr. old niece stayed at the Carlingford Cottage for over a glorious week!!! The views are breathtaking, it's quiet and private and just lovely. Every amenity you may possibly need is at your disposal. The next time we visit Ireland we will definitely be renting this home again if it's available.

"WOW - What a house!!!"

We have just returned from a long weekend at Carlingford Cottage and WOW – what a house!!!. It is spacious, bright, spotlessly clean, warm and homely with all modern appliances and the most wonderful views. It has everything needed for a family break. It is in a perfect location to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the peace and quiet and yet is only a 5 minute drive to Carlingford. Booking was so easy and hassle free - thank you so much Sheila. I would definitely recommend Carlingford Cottage to family and friends and will definitely be back in the very near future.

"great house at an amazing location"

Nicely done house, comfortable and spacious. Appreciated the views and despite the weather has not been the best we had an enjoyable stay. Very easy dealing with the owner who is very honest. Would like to come back some other time.

"A fabulous House in a stunning location."

We have just returned from a wonderful week in this property. It is in a stunning location, and the house itself has been finished to a high standard. Our teenagers who we can't usually get to walk anywhere, were off like a shot each day! We took the train into Belfast ( an hour away) and it cost just £20 for the 5 of us including all bus travel around the city for the day. There were 5 of us and everthing was provided, with plenty of room. We will definitely be re-booking!
