We have in the majestic and rustic VILLA MAGNOLIA an apartment for rental. The exotic garden with its 6 x 12 meter pool and grill house with panoramic views of the Lake of Lugano and the smaller Lake Piano surrounded by the Ticino mountains is a perfect place to relax and enjoy your holidays away from the mass tourism.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area

Lake District, Switzerland's Canton of Ticino, and the pre-Alps and Alps that course through these areas make Villa Magnolia an incredibly beautiful and central location from which to enjoy the best that nature, history, culture, and climate have to offer.

Mountain and water sports, art and music, museums, architecture, great cuisine, modern city and traditional village life, all permeate the area surrounding Villa Magnolia. You have it all, whether you walk a few minutes to the village of Carlazzo, travel 15 minutes to Lake Como, 30 minutes to the city of Lugano, or two hours to either Milan to the south or Luzern or San Moritz to the north and northeast.

Lake Como, also called Lake Lario, is the third largest in Italy, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore. It is one of the most picturesque of the Prealpine lakes and the only one of the three large northern lakes to be situated entirely in Lombardy. It lies in a valley scoured out by the ancient Adda glacier and is unusually shaped like an upside-down Y, with three branches running from Colico in the north, Como in the south west and Lecco in the south east. The point where the three branches meet is called the lake centre and is the most interesting part on account of its beautiful panoramic views.

The climate is generally mild, especially in the central area, which makes it very suitable for winter holidays. The lakeside vegetation is luxuriant rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias and olive groves flourish, and lemon trees, date palms and other subtropical plants grow in sheltered areas.

Carlazzo area

There are attractive tourist resorts with many gardens and fine country houses all along the lakeside. The most popular of these are in the lake centre where the most important health resorts of Bellagio, Tremezzo, Cadenabbia and Menaggio are situated. Cernobbio, Gravedona, Bellano and Varenna are also interesting places, and Como and Lecco are well known tourist centres.

What can you expect ?

VILLA MAGNOLIA is well equipped with all what you would need in a serviced apartment. Just bring your suitcase and unpack. A linen package with bedlinen, kitchen- and bath- towels will be supplied by us and is part of the arrangement.

VILLA MAGNOLIA is positioned in a beautiful garden setting, its country style interior is practical and has an elegant touch.

Take a dive in the pool - from where you can enjoy a serene view of mountains and lake - afterwards enjoy a barbecue at the separate grill house.

Pool is not heated, open from June 1 until September 30.

- Minimum 3 nights in the Low Season and Season

- Prepayment of 30% on reservation confirmation, balance 30 days prior to arrival.
