House | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
This is a 4 bedroomed detached house set in rural french surroundings. Peace and tranquility with a relaxed and safe environment. We have used this house as our holiday home for the last 9 years, where we have all the comforts of an english home. Gas central heating and a very good boiler which gives constant hot water.
There is a garden with a bar-b-que and garden table and chairs. We have a large conservatory where we can doze in the afternoons. The house is child friendly (and smoke free) with a high chair and cot and wooden toys available if required. The house is built on a slope and is accessible by way of 6 steps to the front door, or we use as a main entrance via the garage door, and then up a flight of stairs to the ground floor.
We are very near to the D Day beaches where boys and girls of all ages can be caught up by the history of the second world war.

The Basse-Normandie region
Where cheese, milk and butter are in abundance, with cider and CALVADOS being made locally this region of France is a food lovers paradise.
The climate is very similar to mainland UK with the average temperatures being a few degrees higher.
Nearby we have the small village of Auvers where International show jumping events attract a lot of visitors and attention, especially during August when the competition season is well under way.
Mont st Michel is 1 hours drive away and is an exceptional day out.
D day beaches are within a 15 minutes drive and in June each year you will be amazed at how the 2nd world war is commemorated and remembered in France.
Nearby Sainte Mere Eglise is a lively town and attracts lots of visitors - especially those the United States. This is where the paratrooper who was shot by the Germans during the second world war hung suspended by his parachute. To this day a life size model is hung from the spire of the church to commemorate these events.
