Situated half a mile outside Cardigan Town nearby Cardigan Bay, this very pretty little cottage nestles in an acre of grounds in a dip on the road to Llechryd and the Teifi Valley.

An attractive garden surrounds the cottage and there are numerous places of interest to visit close-by including the Cardigan Wildlife Centre, Mwnt beach, Poppit Sands plus Aberporth and New Quay where there are resident dolphins. Cardigan Town has a range of pubs, eateries, shops, galleries and an excellent theatre/cinema.

The cottage is perfect for a couple or a small family.

Ground Floor

Entrance is into a small hallway and through to the DINING ROOOM which has an open fire, oak dining table with 4 chairs and a comfy arm chair.

The galley KITCHEN has a range of pine units, electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and a washing machine.

A door leads from the kitchen to the rear garden and kennel.

The SITTING ROOM has a logburning stove, comfy seating for 4, a Welsh dresser, TV with Sky Plus & Kids & Home and Leisure package, DVD and occasional tables.

The ground floor BATHROOM has a suite of bath, WC and wash hand basin.

First Floor

Upstairs there are two bedrooms.

Stairs lead into BEDROOM 1 which is spacious and characterful; it is furnished with a double bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers, and wardrobe and has a TV with Sky and DVD.

A door leads directly into BEDROOM 2 from the master bedroom and has a set of 3' bunk beds with a wardrobe and chest of drawers. All the beds are made up with fresh linen for your arrival and towels are included.

Garden and Parking

The garden amounts to about 1 acre including a courtyard with patio area, cottage garden and open natural areas. A table and chairs and barbecue are provided.

Off road parking for up to 4 cars.

Other Information

Oil central heating and logs for the fire are included in the rental from May to September and charged at a flat rate of £25 per week at all other times, please leave your payment in the cottage.

A travel cot, highchair and stair gate are available on request.

Internet connection is available.

No smoking in the property.

Towels are included in the rental.

Up to two well-behaved pets are welcome and there is a secure outside kennel should you wish to leave your pets whilst you go out.

The Ceredigion region

Ceredigion - a lovely county which makes a great destination for a lovely holiday. There is lots of good walking about from the coastal path to the wildlife park justy the other side of the river Teifi. Cardigan Market Town is the home of the Eisteddfod and the castle is undergoing a transformation at present. The town has a lot to offer from a Theatr/cinema, shops, galleries, pubs, eateries - even an outdoor pizza garden with live music in the summer.You will be spoilt for choice for beaches and hidden coves in this area as there are over 16 beaches. Sandy beaches at Mwnt, Aberporth, Tresaith and Penbryn are ideal for bathing or simply lazing and are child friendly. The beaches further north near Aberystwyth have a mixture of shingle and sandy beaches; some are popular for wind sports and surfing. The local beaches are safe and clean and in 2011 the UK Seaside Award was awarded to 14 beaches in Ceredigion. These include Aberporth, Mwnt, Penbryn, Llangranog,New Quay, Tresaith, Borth, Aberystwyth North, Aberystwyth South and New Quay. The county is good for many outdoor activities like fishing, sailing,canoeing, walking and Dolphin spotting.Cardigan Bay is well known for dolphin spotting which takes place throughout the



New Quay village is set along the Cardigan Bay Heritage coastline - extremely important internationally as an area for marine wildlife.

This bustling little village is an extremely popular today as a holiday resort but used to be a fishing and smuggling port in the 18th Century. Many ships were built here, as early as 1779, (a sloop called "Thomas & Mary"). Between 1800 and 1820, a total of thirty one ships were built, greatly increasing the popularity of New Quay as a port.

New Quays lighthouse " known locally as the pepper pot because of its shape was originally built in 1839 and used to be known as the "Pepper Pot" this was destroyed in a storm 1859 it was re-built and then destroyed once again in 1937.

The current new quay lighthouse has recently been made famous, in the film "The Edge of Love" written by Welsh writer, Dylan Thomas, and stars actress Keira Knightly and actor Matthew Rhys.
