Lacuna at The Bay is a first floor stylishly furnished and well appointed apartment in a small exclusive development offering unrivaled views over Cardiff Bay’s lagoon.The large terrace, accessed from large floor to ceiling French windows in the lounge, is the ideal place to relax at the end of the day. Many people regard it as the finest location in the whole of the Bay.
The accommodation, which is within a secure gated development, is located a 5-minute walk from the bars, café and shopping of Mermaid Quay. A 20-minute stroll or shuttle bus takes you to the bustling city centre with ease. The world famous St Davids Hotel and Spa and Wales Millennium Centre are also on your doorstep. Two parking spaces are also included in the nightly rental.

The South Wales / Cardiff/Newport/Glamorgan region
The old Cardiff docklands have been redeveloped in the last decade to create Cardiff Bay, home to a large freshwater lake for sailing and water sports; the five-star St David’s Hotel and Spa, and Mermaid Quay – a restaurant hotspot with everything from Italian to Turkish cuisine. Lacuna at the Bay is in the heart of the bay.
The City cente is a 3 km walk from the bay - there is also a connecting shuttle bus service. A 20 minute drive will take you to Cowbridge, which is full of stylish shops and cafes. Alternatively, for those who wish to visit the beach or surf, Ogmore - by- Sea and Porthcawl is merely a couple of junctions away on the motorway. The Celtic Manor Hotel (the host of the Ryder Cup in 2010) is also a short drive from the flat.

Cardiff Bay, just a mile from the city centre, is a popular part of any visit to Cardiff. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops in Mermaid Quay, cruise or sail on Cardiff Bay, or explore attraction such as the impressive Wales Millennium Centre, Norwegian Church, Crafts in the Bay, the Wetlands, Red Dragon Centre, the Dr Who exhibition or Techniquest - an interactive science discovery centre.
How to get there
For those arriving by car, take the M4 as far as junction 33 (cardiff west exit). Take the first left at the roundabout- signposted Cardiff Bay and Cardiff Airport. Continue on this dual carriageway for 4 miles until you arrive at the Bay area. You will pass ikea on your left and take the next left exit just before you go under the butetown tunnel. Take the second exit on the roundabout (signposted Lacuna) and continue on this road for half a mile. You will see the Cardiff Yacht club ahead of you and Lacuna will be on your right.

The comfortable lounge area is equipped with a TV and DVD, two sofas and a large dining table with four high back chairs.
The generous double bedrooms offer king size beds and crisp white linen. The master bedroom boats a luxury en-suite with walk-in power shower. The second bathroom has a bath with power shower over. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with inset lighting.
