Home description

The house is a spacious castle-like property built in 1880 and extended extensively over the years to include the characteristic turrets built by the previous owners. The property has been fully updated and decorated tastefully by the present owners in a modern style with throwbacks to the Victorian era including working original fireplaces.

The perfect base for a wedding celebration or just a family fun holiday, the house benefits from 2 acres of gardens with newly laid tennis courts, a heated swimming pool and even its own fully stocked pub. The sights, sounds and smells of beautifully untouched countryside are all around. For the active vacationer, there are miles of forestry walks, and a golf course just 10 minutes walk away. Local restaurants and pubs are 5 mins by car or taxi.

The South Wales / Cardiff/Newport/Glamorgan region

There's always something new to do in Cardiff, whether you're a first-time visitor or a life-long resident. Europe's youngest capital city has so much to offer, from historic Cardiff castle and classical concerts, to vibrant street festivals and tranquil parks.

The Millennium Stadium is the home of the awesome welsh rugby team, and many annual events. With 20 restaurants, bars and cafes, Mermaid Quay and Capital Waterside are at the hub of the most expansive waterfront development in Europe. The Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay is home of the Welsh National Opera and frequented by major international voices such as Welsh baritone Bryn Terfel et al.

Cycle along the Taff Trail or find out more about Cardiff's history by following the Cardiff Centenary Walk. Venture out into the countryside on your doorstep, or visit the tiny island of Flat Holm, a wildlife haven just five miles from the city. Whatever your interests, you're sure to find something to enjoy in Cardiff.
