I held my wedding Reception at Wrinstone House and I can honestly say it was the best experience of my life. The owners, Vicky and Matt could not do enough for us and we are so grateful to them. All the guests commented on the beautiful house and gardens. It is truly a fabulous place and the decor is fabulous. Perfect for every occassion! |

First the positives - nice location, nice house The Negatives - felt like we gatecrashed someones house, owners kept popping back to collect items (I think were may have been first of the rental seanon but when you pay this much for a break you dont expect it) Next, no pool or BBQ as advertised - the bbq was the main problem and we werre not notified until the day of arrival which caused mad panic trying to find portable bbqs to take with us. The house had not been cleaned prior to our arrival and we requested they return to clean the property, even soiled nappies in bathroon bin. Next I suspect (but have no evidence) the owners had webcams around as we had friends coming and going for 40th party, day and evening and they challenged us on people at the property who were infact staying at nearby hotel. Finally owners tried to hang on to my substantial breakages deposit without justification for these "extra guests" - which enraged me given the price already paid - This really took the shine off a really special occasion Would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone - plenty of other rental options around without the hassle Response: I came to the property once to show the guests around and ensure the heating and hot water were timed correctly for the guests comfort. The house is always immaculately clean for the arrival of all guests (see other comments). The outside pool was closed as it was March, the pool is not opened or heated until May, as clearly stated. The BBQ is a large stone charcoal type built into a garden wall directly outside the kitchen, next to a 6 seater table and chairs. The guests appeared to have missed this. The guests had invited other guests to their BBQ, which is fine, and they had stayed over. The house is for 10 guests only, we do not allow additional wear and tear of people sleeping on settees and in other makeshift areas, as we like to keep the property exclusive for the correct number. All spare bedclothes being used (rather than webcams) is how we can tell how many people stayed on this occasion. I would not recommend these guests to other holiday letters nor would I allow them to come back, although I don't suspect they plan to. |
