The South Wales region

This is an area of mountains, sea and national park and somewhere that has been attracting holidaymakers for many years. Pembrokeshire Coast national Park in the south west is a favourite holiday destination, with miles of coastal footpaths and wonderful seascapes; lots of Blue Flag beaches and seas rich in marine life. Further east Carmarthenshire also has lots to attract holidaymakers, with historic castles, mountains, rivers and of course coastline. No matter where you choose your never too far away from mountains and the sea and of course there is the thriving cities of Cardiff and Swansea to visit, where you'll find lots of first class shops, cafes and restaurants.

Cardiff

The village of Peterson-Super-Ely is an excellent place to stay for those wishing to experience the best of what Cardiff has to offer whilst remaining slightly out of the hustle and bustle of city centre life. Living a peaceful existence in its own right, this pretty village is surrounded by a number of exciting waymarked walks, is close to a number of golf clubs and is half a mile away from a fantastic pub, offering good food and real ale. The rural market town of Cowbridge is only five miles away and boasts everything from farmers markets to real ale pubs, unique restaurants and antiques shops. Once you reach Cardiff there is an endless list of exciting attractions and days out for the whole family, from museums to shops, gardens, theatres and art galleries, Cardiff certainly has it all! Cardiff Bay, for instance, offers an exciting array of shops, bars, clubs and restaurants and a stroll along the bay can be an enticing event in itself. With exciting walks such as the Cardiff Bay Barrage Coast Path close at hand, visitors are able to explore both the Bay and Penarth Marina and enjoy the views of the city and beyond.
