About this location
Southern Wales region
Cardiff is the capital city of Wales, Europe's youngest capital and one of the fastest-growing cities and tourist destinations in Britain. Cardiff's recent redevelopment has resulted in world-class sporting and entertainment venues that must be visited. Add to this excellent shopping, diverse restaurants and plenty of art, history and culture, and Cardiff is an ideal holiday destination to keep the family happy.
Wales is the land of castles, and Cardiff itself is home to a huge number of castles and historic sites. Cardiff's history dates back to Roman times, and Cardiff Castle, right at the heart of the city, is well worth a visit, from its magnificent Norman keep to the decadent and luxurious interiors of the Victorian castle.
When you visit Cardiff, you'll find the 'big 3' attractions – Cardiff Castle, the Millennium Stadium and the National Museum all close to each other in the city centre. But there are great attractions to be found all over the city – on Cardiff Bay there's the Wales Millennium Centre and Techniquest , and on the outskirts of Cardiff you'll find the fairytale Castell Coch .
Cardiff Bay is home to a number of attractions such as Techniquest Science Discovery Centre - ideal for all the family, Craft in the Bay, The Welsh Assembly at the Pierhead, Butetown History and Arts Centre, Goleulong 2000 Lightship, the Norwegian Church Arts Centre and the Wales Millennium Centre, a stunning international arts centre.
Overlooking the Bay and with a chic, cosmopolitan atmosphere, Mermaid Quay is where Cardiff comes to relax.
Just five minutes from the city centre, it's the perfect destination for relaxing, partying or splashing out on a bit of retail therapy or personal pampering.
The wealth waterfront of restaurants, cafés and bars with menus from around the world mean there's something for every taste and pocket - from a quick snack to a leisurely, luxury meal.
And, if it's laughs you're after, there's nowhere better than the Glee Club - one of the UK's top stand-up venues.
Meanwhile shops and services range from stylish boutiques offering hot fashions & accessories, fine foods, fabulous furnishings and great gifts to Ken Picton's award-winning hair dressing salon & spa.

Many thanks for taking time to write a review. Sadly I see you were not 100% happy with your stay.
There are a couple of things we would like to clarify with you, such as you feeling patronised by the “no party comment”. The flat is situated in a residential area and we always advise every customer to bear in mind our neighbours, so nobody receives complaints. We did not charge you £100 for deposit, I think you got this mixed up with a pre authorisation of the card, which clearly states in our terms and conditions online.
Attending the flat after your departure seemed like there weren't just 4 people that stayed for the low rate £79 per night you paid, but more then 6 as all beds sofa bed and extra towels were used.
As our responsibility we feel the need to provide our guests with different options for food or nightlife. We always mention the breakfast café behind our building just so that the people are aware they have that option if they didn't fancy cooking or walking somewhere far. It did not relate to kitchen being used at any point.
We can not comment on your experience with smelling dead people, fortunately we never experienced it, but Tiger Bay Flat is fully refurbished so there might have been a smell of new carpets, new wall paper and general paint smell. We did try to eliminate it by opening the windows prior to your arrival.
We advised the gentlemen who rang us that we do not have a huge amount of cooking equipments, but he did not seem to be too alert by it. We stated that there were enough plates, glasses etc for up to 4 people. We provided you with a phone number in case you needed to get hold of us if you needed anything, but nobody rang, so we assumed you coped fine. Looks like you did not want to call us to avoid us finding out how many people really were staying in the flat. However we will take on board your comment and will provide more kitchen appliances for future guests.
With the booking experience, we always have problems with eviivo (where you booked with us). However we explained why to the gentlemen who booked the flat and he was very understanding.
