Why did we fall in love with our little bit of the Languedoc ?
We wanted to get back to the rural France we all seek. An area where you can park the car anywhere, be known and remembered in local bars and restaurants and above all to find a place to really relax in .
We bought in October 2011 .We have decorated our lovely cottage throughout and equipped it to make it feel like
Light and airy, with stunning views to front and back over the rolling vineyards of the Domaine de Fournery.
Wine Lovers -buy the wine made from the vines you overlook in the nearby Cave de Razes. Many local vineyards offer tutored tastings. Indeed, a great time to visit is September and October, when the weather is still good. Enjoy the ever changing colours of the vines as the grape harvest begins .
Free Wi fi to keep everyone happy - especially the youngsters !
Probably its greatest feature are the terraces to the front and back of the house , where you can barbecue , drink and relax !
Spectacular sunsets from the rear terrace.
2 bicycles available .Explore the local villages on quiet lanes.
Boules and badminton.
Safe lawned area for children to play.
Buy a baguette in Alaigne at new epicerie/boulangerie.- 5 minutes away. Another store at Belvezes - 7 minutes away. Large supermarkets at Limoux - 10 minutes away.
We really hope you will come and see the Domaine De Fournery.

"Surprisingly good value for money in a quiet and extremely remote location."
A roomy cottage in a lovely location. The extreme en-suite in one of the bedrooms might be a bit scary if you were sharing the room but we had a single occupant so it was just entertaining. The views … More

"Well-equipped home in wonderful countryside."
Just got back from truly relaxing holiday enjoyed with friends. Perfect base for exploring the region - indeed a car is essential. Carcassonne and other interesting destinations in the Cathar region easily accessible. Good restaurants and bars within a short car ride. The house itself has everything you need for a perfect stay - kitchen was better equipped than mine at home! Plenty of linen, towels, very nice seating areas within house and in garden. Wifi and television. Overlooks stunning views of vineyards. Even the weather was perfect!

"Highly recommended !"
This was our first time in the area and with a family of small children and we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Domaine de Fournery is a lovely relaxing spot surrounded by beautiful typically picturesque countryside. From our initial email request we had excellent communication with the owners and whilst on holiday had a visit from their local contact who could not have been more helpful and friendly. The accommodation was bright and spacious with lovely views and a good sized garden in which to play at the front.
