"A great house in fabulous location"

We had a fantastic holiday at this property. It was very clean and well maintained and enabled us to enjoy all that was on offer in the house and also in local area. We felt very at home in the property and Jon and Ruth had thought of everything that you might need on holiday. We loved the decor and the pool area. We would definitely return.

"Great villa with large, private pool."

We loved this villa conveniently situated near Trebes and Carcassonne. The villa had everything we needed but, in particular, we loved the pool. For a villa of its size, the pool, at 10m x 5m felt very large. The pool itself was in the sun all day but there were plenty of shady spots around the pool. In July, when we were there, it was possible to sit in the sunlit pool until at least 8pm which was lovely with a glass of something! Our children (aged 12, 10 & 9) loved the pool and also the table tennis. The village of Malves has reasonable tennis courts which were never in use and we enjoyed a couple of games when the weather wasn't too hot. The views of the hills from the balcony overlooking the pool and garden are outstanding.
This villa is well situated to explore the Cathar region as well as being accessible to the coast. We actually did an overnight trip to Barcelona which is 190 miles away (about a three to four hour drive).
The villa has UK satellite tv and a DVD player which is great if you have children. In hot weather, the bedrooms can get a bit stuffy but good fans are provided and need to be used! Otherwise, the only thing we missed was Internet connection but there is a very good tourist information office on the banks of the canal in Trebes.
Highlights for our children were canoeing from Couiza and going to the local lac de la cavayere and having fun on the inflatables.

"Excellent. Exceeded our expectations!!!!"

Le Petit Verger is a lovely villa in a beautiful area of France. The pool is excellent and we spent many a hot afternoon just enjoying its delights (followed by an pre-dinner drink in the wine bar in the lively port of Trebes. The cafe in the village is also worth a visit as the owner is most welcoming). Le Cite is worth a visit but be prepared for the hordes of fellow tourists!! Other recommended visits:- Toulouse, Minerve, the Black Mountains.

Beautiful villa in a really great location, a short drive to Carcassonne. Beautiful surroundings, the garden and pool area are fantastic and the villa itself is very spacious and nicely decorated.
We had a great stay at the Petit Verger villa!

"A relaxing holiday in a beautiful home with gorgeous surroundings."

From our initial enquiry to the speedy return of our security deposit the owners of this property were both friendly and professional.
Their directions to the house from Carcassonne Airport had us there in 15 mins with no wrong turns.Quite an accomplishment for our family! The house and pool both exceeded our expectations, and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. The house was spotlessly clean and the beds made up with nice quality cotton duvets and sheets. The house is very well equipped and the satellite TV and the super table tennis table were a great bonus. The pool area is just gorgeous and there is plenty of outdoor furniture too. The second kitchen at pool level was a great addition giving easy access to cold drinks and icecreams without having to head back upstairs. Compliments also to Ralph the owners agent in Carcassonne who kept the pool beautifully and answered lots of questions for us.
As we have visited this area often we used our week mainly for relaxation. Having a village location was great and being able to walk to a shop for the morning croissants was lovely. We did venture out to the market in nearby Trebes, and for canal strolls. Also to eat several times in La Cite which is surprisingly good value for a tourist location.. However in the main both the youngsters (13 and 16) and us were reluctant to move from the lovely surrounds of Le Petit Verger.
The only improvement we could think of was we would have loved to have wifi internet access at the house However not having it might be seen as a bonus to some people trying to escape the office.!
Overall we had a wonderful time in Le Petit Verger and would definitely like to return.
