The Province of Munster region

County Kerry has long been recognised as one of the most scenic and unspoilt areas in Ireland, with beautiful beaches and wonderful lake and woodland areas to expore.

It is the ideal place to get away for a romantic break or to enjoy a family holiday, or simply a get together with friends!

There are activities to suit everybody - golf, fishing, hunting, yoga, swimming, mountain climbing, horse riding and many historical and cultural activities also.

When booking your holiday with Caragh Heights I will be pleased to provide you with more detailed information on any activity that you are interested in.

If all that activity sounds like too much hard work you can just decided to sit back and relax, switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet !

Kerry is home to Irelands highest mountain - Carrauntoohil at 1,038m which makes it a challenging and enjoyable climb.

Caragh Lake is situated just off the world famous "Ring of Kerry", the popular tourist towns of Killarney, Killorglin, Dingle, Kenmare, etc are all within easy reach.

The area has also got an abundance of great pubs and restaurants where you can enjoy fresh local produce.

The nearby town of Killorglin celebrates its annual festival of Puck Fair which is believed to be one of the oldest festivals in the world and is held on the 10,11,12th of August each year.

Caragh Lake

The Caragh Lake area is a hidden gem within County Kerry. It is very close to many well known tourist towns but it feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle when you are sitting in Caragh Heights overlooking the majestic Caragh Lake.

The lake is enjoyed equally by fishermen and women and nature lovers alike.

Take a walk, swim in the lake, go fishing or simply enjoy the scenery!

The award winning Carraig House Restaurant and the Ard na Sidhe hotel in Caragh Lake are both open to non residents to enjoy delicious fresh local dishes.

Alternatively, you can use the fully equipped kitchen or the outdoor BBQ to enjoy some home cooking on the terrace overlooking the lake at Caragh Heights holiday home.

The nearby town of Killorglin has all the facilities you may need during your holiday, shops, pubs, restaurants, supermarkets etc.

Full Tourist Information packs are provided free of charge and also the owner who lives locally is happy to provide extra information on the local area, directions to tourist attrations etc.
