Located in majestic surroundings high up in Constantia Nek Valley, this charming stone and thatch home is unique to Cape Town and decorated in true African safari lodge style. Sweeping views across the picturesque Constantia winelands to False Bay.

Ikhaya means ‘home’ in Xhosa and Zulu, and this beautiful thatched home is situated on 2 acres on landscaped gardens with many indigenous plant varieties. There is a heated pool and spacious patio with views our across the Constantia wine valley towards the mountains. A floodlit tennis court is also available for those seeking a game. The world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are around the corner, as well as numerous forests, where there are mountain walks for hikes to suit any fitness level.

This is the ideal point from which to explore Cape Town and the Western Cape surrounds, close to the city centre, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Golf courses, Beaches, Mountain walks, Shopping Centres and top restaurants.

Half to three quarters of an hour's drive to Paarl, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Somerset West to do some serious wine tasting.

The Western Cape region

We are approximately a 20 minutes drive from Cape Town city centre with its access to Table Mountain Cableway and historic Company Gardens. The V&A Waterfront is also 20 minutes away with its daily boat trips to Robben Island. Great restaurants, shops and more. We are about 15 minutes away from the nearest beaches and a leisurely 45 minutes drive will take you the the famous Cape Winelands.

We are also close to golf courses, other shopping centres and top restaurants. Cape Town is the gateway to Africa with it’s friendly people and sunny skies and there are plenty of world class game farms in and around southern Africa to further enhance your Safari experience.

Further details indoors:
Accommodation in the main house consists of 2 double bedrooms en-suite in colonial style with mosquito nets decorating the beds, tea trays and crisp white linen, and one standard with twin beds, also en-suite. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms equipped with a bath and shower. A family size kitchen with pantry as well as guest toilet.

The lounge boasts an enormous fireplace and satellite TV with the main dining room in open thatch. Various animal heads and skins adorn the walls and wooden floor, adding to the safari feel.

There are 3 separate garden suites and one garden cottage with thatch ceilings, decorated in ethnic style with mosquito nets, and all are en-suite with the cottage being open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. Both double rooms, garden suites and cottage have television.

50% confirmation deposit and balance 1 month prior to arrival. R15 000 separate deposit for breakages.

Informal conference facility in boma, next to pool, seat maximum 24. All rooms serviced on a daily basis.

Children 8 years and older and child minding on request.

Extra services are available, such as, a personal Chef, Chauffeur, Butler etc. and can be arranged for our guests renting the entire house on weekly or monthly basis.

Checking in time is from 14h00 to 16h00 unless otherwise arranged.
- Checking out time is 10h00

Due to the fact that we are a small establishment, the following cancellation charges will apply:

* If cancelled 30 days or more prior to arrival -
10% of Total Accommodation.
* If cancelled 14 to 30 days prior to arrival - 2
5% of Total Accommodation.
* If cancelled 7 to 14 days prior to arrival -
50% of Total Accommodation.
* If cancelled within 7 days prior to arrival, or in the event of an
early departure, the full extent of the stay as originally booked
and confirmed will be charged.
