About the home
This luxurious villa, with heated pool and large sun deck, is perched on a hillside above an open meadow. It has an infinity view to the breaking waves below. The villa, which has been recently renovated, has four bedrooms. Three bedroom all have balconies with beautiful views over the breaking waves of Hout Bay. The fourth bedroom is best suited for children, with a bunk bed. The rooms are furnished with a modern African influence.
The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a large corner spa bath and shower. The other bedrooms share a large bathroom. The rooms are heated for winter and there is a gas fire place in the living room. In summer there is air conditioning in the main bedroom and fans in the other rooms, if needed.
There is a heated outside pool, with a safety net if needed for children. The outside deck has four sun loungers and seating for 12. The lovely indoor dining room seats eight at an elegant solid wood handcrafted dining table. The kitchen is open-plan and fitted with all the modern conveniences, including a dishwasher. There is a separate laundry room with all amenities. There is garage parking for two cars and a separate bay for a third car.
Amenities include heated swimming pool, all linen and towels (including for the beach), satellite TV, DVD player, internet access, full laundry, BBQ. Cot provided on request. A daily cleaning service during weekdays is included in the rental.

The furniture is all new and contemporary. There are some striking art pieces and pictures. Some pieces of furniture were indiviudally made by a master carpenter. The outdoor area has a wonderful oversized couch for lazy days or sipping wine while admiring the sunset.
The Western Cape region
Hout Bay is one of South Africa’s renowned beauty spots, a magical valley bordered by an expansive and beautiful beach and surrounded by stately mountains, covered in rich oak, pine forests and lush green meadows.
A picturesque river runs through a small natural harbour into the circular bay where it meets the majestic Atlantic Ocean. At nearby Chapman’s Peak between August and November you can experience spectacular views and great whale spotting opportunities.
Within Hout Bay there is an extensive range of activities to enjoy such as relaxing sunset cruises, boat trips to Seal Island, or wandering around World of Birds (Africa's biggest bird park). If you’re looking for something more active try your hand at deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, sailing, or even windsurfing. A quick drive along the breathtaking beach front road, past Camps Bay brings you to the heart of Cape Town where the Mother City offers a wide range of entertainment and shopping including the nation’s Parliament and the V&A Waterfront.
Other magnificent wonders of the Cape are on our doorstep - 10 minutes down the road is the road are some of the Cape Winelands in Constantia.
The Cape Town / Hout Bay area
Hout Bay is the perfect holiday village for families. Its long beautiful beach is ideal for playing in the sand and paddling in the waves. With striking sunsets every evening the beach is a great spot for an evening stroll - although there is little that can beat sundowners on the pool deck at the house.
Hout Bay is a bustling village with its mixture of quaint shops, bistros and restaurants. It has some fantastic restaurants - from gorgeous brunch at Deli Delish to great views at Dunes on the beach (where there is also a playground) to Pure at Hout Bay manor (a 5 star Delux Hotel). There is also the Capetonian's favourite - calamari and prawns on the deck of the Chapmans Peak Hotel overlooking the breaking waves.

Stayed here for a week and had a very enjoyable week although the weather was very cold, the heating was not enough to warm the house, would be much better to rent in summer. TV was difficult to... more |
