Photos
The Western Cape region

Great winter sun location, beautiful scenery with fabulous attractions and places to visit. The Western Cape is the most popular region of South Africa as a destination for foreign tourists. It is home to the famous Table Mountain, landmark of the city of Cape Town, and in fact its entire geography is a rich montage of craggy mountains, deserted beaches and impossibly stunning countryside, making it the most beautiful province in South Africa.
The Cape Town / Blouberg area
When you see post cards of Table Mountain they are all taken from the Blouberg area. The beach is a haven for watersports such as windsurfing, surfing and kite surfing. If you fancy a walk on the beach, the sand is white and powdery. Blouberg is a safe area, and you can walk to the many restaurants, shops and bars along the seafront.
Other nearby activities including golf and quad biking, all within a short driving distance of the apartment. The wineries of Durbanville are close by, where you can have lunch and sample the fine wines at the same time.
Cape Town's attractions are around 30 mins away. They include Victoria & Albert Waterfront, which is full of shops and restaurants. You can also book a ferry trip to Robben Island. Simonstown, see the Penguins at Boulders Beach and Cape Point are all within an hours drive with spectacular scenery along the coast.
Grand West Casino and Entertainment park is situated between the apartment and the airport. It offers everything for the whole family. Besides gambling there is a ice rink for the older children and a mini ice rink for the little ones, an arcade park, a multitude of food outlets and a cinema complex. Ratanga Junction theme park is within 15-20 mins drive.
Slightly further afield (apprx 2 and a half hrs drive) you can go shark cage diving in Gansbaai voted the premier location in the world for shark spotting. The trips are around 4-5 hrs long. There are many companies that offer this on the internet.

Well appointed apartment with stunning views across Table Bay from the balcony. The apartment is well designed, making the most of all available space. A car is a must if you're staying here and parking is a piece of cake, with electric gates and your own space. Plenty of choice of bars and restaurants, some in walking distance, some a short drive away. It takes about 20 minutes to drive into central Cape Town, depending on traffic. There are grocery type shops and large shopping malls in close proximity to the apartment. We visited in early November when the weather was a bit hit or miss, take clothes for all seasons! Loads of places to visit, Cape Point, Hermanus, Winelands, Table Mountain etc. Response: Thanks very much for the review, you are welcome back at anytime!! Diolch eto. |

The apartment is exactly as seen in the photos. Many thanks to the owners for making this a hassle free rental and returning the deposit without fuss or delay.
The apartment was a stones throw from the beach (enjoyed walks along the beach in the morning finished with nice breakfast at "News Cafe")
This was the perfect base for us to go visiting the greater Cape Town area (car is a must have in order to do this). Didn't really use the kitchen, but it seemed fine. A shame there was no internet, although we were able to get access at the cafe down the road. The retaurants in the area were nice and service faultless.
Great place to just relax and enjoy the sunset and also to use as an affordable base from which you can go visit all the amazing sights of Cape Town.
The place to be !

I spent a month at this beautiful property and it was truly a home away from hom. From the day i arrived to the day i left, i enjoyed every moment. You have full Sea views, you walking distance from the local pubs and restuarants and you minutes away from the shopping centres. It has the most awesome balcony and it has all the great comforts. I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely apartment with beautiful views of Blouberg Beach and table mountain. Everything we needed for our stay was there (even a little picnic cooler!) Small supermarket and a fair selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance, but a car really a necessity to get to the larger supermarkets, big bay etc and into Cape Town city centre. Secure parking and laundry facilities within the complex both a big plus. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back in the not too distant future.
