Cape Town / Blouberg area
A Mediterranean climate that experiences very little rain, in the summer months, with long sunny evenings that set the party mood. Blaauwberg is the gateway to the West Coast and is well known in the area for the picturesque views of Table Mountain.
Bloubergstrand is known as the "Seafood Mecca of the Cape West Coast " with Big Bay being the main beach for swimming, surfing or sun tanning. You are spoilt for choice, when it comes to restaurants in this area, all of which are within minutes from the Apartment. Nightlife in Blouberg lights up with sundowners at the Blue Peter Hotel where you can sit around the casual beach bistro pub and watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean as the chef conjures up another meal from his wood-burning oven or at Doodles on the beachfront which has a vibrant, dynamic atmosphere unlike any other - fuelled by its friendly staff and regular patrons alike. Live music, an extensive menu, great service and the fantastic setting all provide a memorable and thrilling experience.
Blouberg Beach is situated between Big Bay and Table View Beach. The corner of the beach has some great rock pools to explore. When the beach is windy, the surf is dominated by the tricks and aerobatic skills of kites surfers and boardsailors. Big Bay is a world renowned surfing and windsurfing spot, while Dolphin Beach is a top class kite surfing location.
