The Western Cape region

The Western Cape offers a myriad of activities to the traveler. Cape Town has been adjudged the most beautiful city in the world by a well known travel guide and a scenic drive around Cape Point, Chapmans Peak and LLundudno will substantiate that claim. The wine farms, for which the area around Constantia or further afield at Stellenbosch are well known offer a gastronomic treat and many tours are available to sample these delights. The well known landmarks, Table Mountain and Robben Island are both worth a visit and a ferry ride to Nelson Mandelas cell is a memorable outing. The Waterfront in the city, combines five star shopping options with a working harbor experience and is worth visiting as well.

Whether its shark diving, tanning on one of the many beaches, cycling along mountain trails, of doing whatever makes you happy, Cape Town will not disappoint you. Its a special place.

Cape Town

At Seascapes is placed adjoining historic Simonstown and close to the famousl Cape point nature reserve. Fishermans beach, a small and fairly private swimming or snorkelling beach directly in front of the house, lies next to Boulders beach where a colony of penguins reside. There are fishing possibilities from the Simonstown Yacht basin, where many fishing charters operate, either deep sea or inshore. The well known Great white shark diving boats leave from Simonstown to Seal island, there the predators reside. Behind the house, some decent walking options through the fynbos are at your disposal with spectacular views on offer.

Simonstown or quaint Kalk bay (about 15 mins up the coast) have a decent selection of eateries catering for most tastes and budgets.

The house is not really affected too much by the summer winds (the south easter, or Cape Doctor) as it is in a lee area. This is a big advantage as wind can be fierce.

You will find tranquility, scenic beauty and a diversity of options available at At Seascapes and we are confident you will be happy there.
