How to get there

The easy way to get to Somerset Place is to fly in to Cape Town international. If you wish to hire a vehicle all the major car hire companies operate out of the airport and bookings can be done on line. I do suggest that if you arrive at night that a taxi or shuttle bring you to Somerset Place. We offer airport transfers and will happily arrange car hire if you so desire.
Directions from Cape Town international.
Take N2 South, Take M3 South to Southern Suburbs and Cape Point. Continue 15 - 20 minutes till you reach M64 "T" Junction. Turn right at traffic lights onto M64. Pass through one set of traffic lights then take the next turn off left onto "Oukaapseweg" still the M64. Enjoy the ride over the mountain pass till you turn right at second set of traffic lights which puts you on to Kommetjie Road. From here it is 10 minutes to Kommetjie. As you come into Kommetjie turn 4th road right into Somerset Way, Keep to your Left, Somerset Place is about 200 meters further down on your left.

Guestbook for Somerset Place beach house

Helpful to anything we needed or wanted to know to make our stay wonderful and spectacular!
With the personal touches, fresh flowers and fruit in the house, the house serviced as much or as little as we wanted by friendly staff.
Enough space, lovely bathrooms (which are all en suite), big comfortable bedrooms, open plan living area with comfortable furnishings, flat TV screen with satellite viewing, plus CD player, a working friendly kitchen with all the necessary appliances Dish washer, coffee peculator, etc. Small laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, which is a must for us.
The house is a stones throw away to the tidal pool, where on the outside of the tidal pool on a good and swell you will see surfers doing their thing. You are also in walking distance to the well known Surfers beach ‘Long Beach’, which looks straight across to Hout Bay; a most beautiful view! We also had the pleasure of seeing the well known whales that swim in the deep blue Atlantic Ocean.
