The Western Cape region

The Western Cape, and its mother city Cape Town with its cosmopolitan vibe is one of South Africa's most popular holiday destinations. The climate is very pleasant, usually hot and dry in the summer. The temperatures are between 26 and 30 degrees or a little higher.
The winters are pretty mild and it is also the rainy season. Don’t really need much winter clothing.
Cape Town is a thriving, friendly city and is a melting pot of diverse cultures and has a strong European influence. The diversity of the landscape is unparalled and the number of adventures to experience almost overwhelming. Dive with sharks, jump out of an airplane, cruise with whales (September to November). Stand at the southernmost top of Africa and think back in History where Bartolomy Dias discovered the Cape Peninsula.
Enjoy world renowned Cape Wines and visit the magnificent premier wine routes of Stellenbosch , Paarl and Franschoek
Visit Table Mountain with it’s rotating cable car giving you a panoramic view of the Peninsula, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill and Robben Island.
Enjoy mountain ranges, vineyards, long sandy beaches and a completely unspoiled hinterland of charming towns and villages. The Cape has its own floral kingdom, and the fields of flowers of wonderful vivid colours are visible from July to October.
Enjoy a fascinating full day trip driving through the Atlantic Seaboard: Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno. Move onto Hout Bay and enjoy a boat trip to Duiker Island, natural home to hundreds of Cape Fur Seals. Then it’s time to take a spectacular drive over Chapman’s Peak to Simonstown and Boulders Beach to see the Penguin Colony. Next stop is Solole Game Reserve.- view the African Buffalo, one of the BIG 5. A great lunch stop . Finally, make your way to Cape Point where the two mighty oceans, the Indian and the Atlantic meet.
The Cape Town / Camps Bay area
Cape Town is alive with creativity, colour and sound and is one of the world’s favourite cities. You feel the fun filled atmosphere as you take a walk through St Georges Mall , a pedestrian walk lined with vendors, shops and restaurants and buzzing with musicians and dancers..Around the corner is the popular Green Market Square on a lively cobbled street where they sell beautiful, exotic clothes, curios, jewellery and other articles from across the African Continent..
The V & A Waterfront at the harbour with it’s well maintained historical buildings, it’s great number of excellent restaurants, outdoor amphitheatre, cinemas and top end international brands and local leading design houses, make this Cape Town’s leading shopping destination. The atmosphere here is electrifying!!
The Majestic Table Mountain provides the best perspective of the entire city. Arrive at the top in a unique revolving Cable Car and experience the breathtaking, sweeping views of the Cape Peninsula. The mountain offers excellent trails for hikers.
Camps Bay offers world famous white sandy beaches lined with palm trees, breathtaking sunsets and wonderful mountain trails. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions and is surrounded by exotic beauty. It is within walking distance of wind sheltered Clifton Beach and 12 minutes drive to Llandudno Beach, a surfer’s paradise
It’s worth a visit to some of the top class restaurants on Victoria Road with stunning views of the beach and enjoy the delicious gourmet Continental and Mediterranean dishes or settle for Sushi, Italian, Indian, Thai and many more mouth watering culinary delights.
Because of its popullarity Camps Bay is frequented by locals and foreign visitors all year round and there is never a dull moment.
