The Western Cape region
The Western Cape has a myriad of activities to keep you interested for weeks, with the famous wine routes less than an hour away. The scenic coastal drive all the way down to Cape Point, passing the quirky towns of Simons Town and Fish Hoek, is a must. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of a whale (in season) or else drive to Hermanus for more whale watching, or maybe cage diving with Great Whites?
The area abounds in top notch golf courses, scenic beaches and international sports stadiums in Greenpoint and Newlands.
Cape Town City Centre is steeped in history, from the historic Dutch castle to the modern holocaust museum.
A trip up Table Mountain in the cable car offers one stunning views of the region, with all the beaches and bays below, to the mountains beyond Paarl and Stellenbosch.
The Cape Town / Bantry Bay area
As its name signifies, Bantry Bay lies perched on the rocks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in one of the most exclusive bays on the Atlantic Seaboard. Crashing waves, magnificent sunsets and protection from the wind, make Bantry Bay much sought after and, because of its position, an ideal base from which to explore Cape Town. Bantry Bay lies just outside the vibey suburb of Sea Point and, although it doesn’t have a beach of its own, you can reach the beaches of Clifton on foot or Saunders Rocks at Sea Point with its little tidal pool. Bantry Bay hugs the slopes of Lion’s Head and the very contemporary apartments that line the Bantry Bay sea front are as close to the ocean as you can get. Bantry Bay is within easy reach of Table Mountain and the cableway. The V&A Waterfront and the city bowl are only 5 minutes away, and the suburb has its own deli. For other restaurants and shops head off to Sea Point - the promenade here is great for evening strolls or early morning ambles - or Camps Bay for its trendy beachfront nightlife with bars and cafes.

Atlantic seaboard
The Atlantic Seaboard, also known as Cape Town’s ‘Riviera’, stretches from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront on the north shore of Table Mountain all the way down the west side of the cape peninsula to Hout Bay. This incredibly beautiful stretch of coast is connected by the most picturesque, scenic drive along Victoria Road and properties on this stretch of South Africa’s Cote d’Azur fetch unprecedented prices, now that this truly beautiful part of the coast is so sought after. The Atlantic Seaboard never fails to buoy one’s spirits, with the glistening Atlantic Ocean on one side and the magnificent slopes of Lion’s Head and the Twelve Apostles on the other.
Sea Point to Bantry Bay, Atlantic Seaboard
Memorable sunsets on this side of the peninsular have made sundowners in Cape Town something of a tradition and, although chilly, the sea offers a more than refreshing dip on a typical hot day.
The Atlantic Seaboard includes the residential suburbs of Mouille Point, Green Point, Sea Point, Fresnaye, Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay, Bakoven, Llandudno and Hout Bay - all of which offer villas, guest houses and self-catering units with easy access to some of the world’s finest beaches, including the ‘there to be seen’ sands of Clifton, the unspoilt boulders of Llandudno and the glorious stretches of sand of Camps Bay.

We were all very pleased with the accommodation, there were 6 of us, and the property is really big so we had plenty of room. It also has great entertainment areas including a lovely pool which gets the sun in the morning and afternoon. Believe it or not we enjoyed the kitchen too. The apartment is on the border of Sea Point and Bantry Bay, there are a few local supermarkets which was helpful that you could just walk to. The beach is really close, within walking distance and you can actually see it from the apartment including a lovely view of lions head. Our entire stay was really pleasant and I don't think we could find any faults if we tried. |

I stayed in Storeleigh Apartments with friends in March 2013 and had a lovely time. The apartment was everything we had hoped - clean and spacious, with a lovely interior. It is well located and just a short walk from the beach. Also well located to reach nearby Cape Town, Clifton & Camps Bay. The hosts where very helpful throughout the booking process and I received my security deposit back a few days later. |

We had an exellent time at this apartment. Being experienced holiday makers in Cape Town and expecially the Sea Point/Bantry Bay area, there is no doubt that this was a fantastic deal in a brillaint location. With access to all shops and the popular spots like Camps Bay and the Waterfront, the picturesque beaches of the promenade and Beach Road in Sea Point just a stone throw away, this is a must for a short visit or a family vacation. The apartment is well equipped and has a smart and modern feel, the bedrooms upstairs are comfortable and have a soft ambience to them. The decking is a perfect place to relax after a long day out. Many thanks to our hospitable hosts |
