The location is fantastic, this modern self-catering holiday cottage is set in a quiet street only 100 meters from the beach! From the entrance you can actually see the sand dunes. It is less than a 500 metre walk to the festive Hout Bay Harbour, with fantastic Seafood restaurants, fresh fish caught daily for the braai, Seal Island boat trips, and a divine weekend market! Walk to shops, restaurants and the wonderful SPAR supermarket.
The beach cottage is set in a fully enclosed tropical garden, with lovely mountain views. The cottage is close to everything, yet far enough from the main road to enjoy the tranquillity of the beautiful private garden.
Sunny, clean and well maintained with luxury comforts throughout, from top quality pure cotton bed linen with electric blankets for the cooler evenings to fans for the warmer summer days. This cottage has everything you need for a perfect holiday!
Open plan modern living with indoor wood-burning fireplace and easy flow from the kitchen to the lounge and dining area, with large French doors opening onto the garden and pool. The cottage is lovingly decorated in a trendy beach-style. Comfortable living area with contemporary white leather sofa/chairs and an elegant custom-made dining table with designer chairs imported from Italy (Kartell). Modern equipment; including an IPOD docking station and a wall-mounted Plasma TV with satellite channels and PVR. Wirelss Internet access.
The kitchen is very well equipped for those who enjoy cooking, the table can be set up beautifully with server plates, napkins, quality cutlery etc.
When the sun sets, the garden is lit from the tropical trees, creating a wonderful ambiance for alfresco dining or a South African braai (barbecue). The beach cottage is filled with personal touches and attention to detail to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay; such as books, board games, kids corner with ample fun toys for kids, and much more! For families with small children we have a pool fence and beautiful designer baby cot, play pen, Mutsie Stroller, and wooden high chair available.

The house is situated next to a lodge and offers excellent security, it has a fully enclosed garden with high perimeter walls, a full alarm system linked to security company, outdoor perimeter beams around the house, and burglar bars on the bedroom windows for those who prefer an extra sense of security.

Set in a fully enclosed garden, with lovely mountain views. The large palm tree by the pool is the centre focus. The solar-heated pool is a decent size with a length of 9,5 meters with tropical plants around the edge for the ultimate holiday feel.
The garden is well established; with pretty flowers, tropical plants and a generous sized lawn area, complimented with the scent of sea air and lavender bushes.
There is outdoor seating for 6 people with a parasol for welcome shade and also sun loungers for those days when you want to simply relax at the swimming pool.
The dunes of Hout Bay Beach are so close by, that, occasionally, some of the white sand ends up in the garden!
The cottage is North-West facing making it very sunny and light. The Cape Summer wind comes to the rear of the cottage, which means the front is nicely sheltered from this famous South Easter wind, also known as the ‘Cape Doctor’; as it provides for the cleanest air and clear blue skies.
The garden offers various seating options for relaxation;
Benches, hammock, modern style wooden sunloungers with cushions and a parasol, outdoor dining area with weber braai and a pretty, quaint wrought iron patio set for a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in French-style.
The pool is heated with imported SOLAR PANELS, increasing the temperature by a few degrees after sunny days. This does not guarantee a warm pool during winter months or cool periods.

Conditions
The beach cottage is available for short term lets and long term lets. To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit is required, as well as a signed standard lease agreement. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Breakage deposit applies. A once-off booking fee applies of R250. We have various payment facilities, please enquire.

Hout Bay is a very popular holiday destination 20 minutes drive to Cape Town City Centre and 10 minutes from Constantia famous wine route. Set at the foot of the famous Chapmans Peak mountain, this village has its own working harbour including boat trips, beach and fantastic restaurants. All amenities nearby.

This property just made our stay so easy and comfortable. Could not reccommend it enough! Lovely views of the mountains from the garden and pool and a great place to relax. Would love to go back sometime. So close to amenities - bit supermarket and takeaway only 5 minutes walk way. Thanks for a fantastic stay! |
